No brother, you don't have to clarify. I only said in jest.

I hope you are kidding - I didn't imply that you are "bad".

Only voiced surprise that you hadn't gone through stuff yet.

    Salaam.

I have also heard and seen sunnis mocking/criticizing wahabis for keeping long beards that go way beyond the one fist mark and for deeming semen pure: both being legitimate fiqh views within ahlus sunnah. We really should be more careful.

ironically, on the same group, a brother said i was a tanatan hardcore "Ridawi bhai" 'jiski khud apne peeche namaz nahin ho payegi' for speaking against the great sufi Ali Jifry!

See, @Unbeknown, I'm not all that bad :D will get back to that mazhab thread in sha Allah

brother, i know i'm the first person to label the hindus are gowmutra drunk morons all over this forum, but that is because this is our turf. i wouldn't say that on a level playing field (like twitter) because they'd immediately come back with hadith on...

sorry but we can't mock this permission - even on our turf - coz we're Sunnis

granted our Hanafi mazhab considers this impermissible, and the permission in hadith is understood to be restricted to only the circumstances and the people Prophet 3alaihis salam permitted it to - and not mutlaq (or perhaps mansukh later on, didn't check on that)

but the other three mazhabs of the Ahlus Sunnah consider this permission as general and extant, and we have to respect the hadith and the rulings of the other mazhabs. that the wahabis also follow this permission from the other three mazhabs or due to their own "ijtihadi" prowess is irrelevant and inconsequential to us!

besides, the urine and feces of eatable domestic animals is not najis in Hanafi mazhab, or at least as per Imam Abu Yusuf (and afaik other mazhabs too)

    ===

    real life anecdote:

on a whatsapp group, this video was posted www. youtube.com/watch?v=GToK2IafSmY - and an innocent common guy asked for more info/clarification,

one tanatan principal of a madrassa from the subcontinent gave some 'smart daleels' and 'smart comments':

the guy in the video (the guy wearing coat and pants) is from the "qadiani haramzaday" (sorry, that's the word he used and i'm reproducing here just as an exhibit of the smartness and tanatan-ness) - why? look at his cap. only qadianis use those caps.

they (ill-begotten qadianis) are deliberately propagating this hadith to give Islam and Muslims a bad rap!

this is not a "masala", it is a "ghasala", and apparently him and many of his scholarly teachers and/or colleagues had this to say:

the Prophet's 3alaihis salam foresight of nubuwwah (nigahe nubuwwat) foresaw that these guys (the ones he 3alaihis salam permitted to consume the camel urine) are gonna become murtads later on, so that's why he 3alaihis salam let them consume camel urine

this is not an open permission for Muslims (blissfully oblivious that other SUNNI mazhabs do permit it)

    ---

i was flabbergasted and was arguing with myself if i should open my big mouth and let it be a paradoxical case of chota munh badi baat

thankfully another desi Sunni mufti residing in Arab lands, who studied in Syria as well, corrected the elderly teacher - saying that it is a masala and other three mazhab's permit it. plus the guy's cap is no qat3i daleel of him being a qadiani! indonesians wear those kinds of caps all over the place, even some people in Shaami lands wear those kind of caps, Libya as well... etc.

thankfully the elderly in-charge of the madrassa took the mufti sahib's word for it and did ruju3 from his position and accusation of qadianism on the guy and also conceded that the other mufti sahib would know better as he has traveled internationally and is living in an Arab country (the guy in the video could be anything from a wahabi to a Shafi3i to a rukhsa-following Hanafi)

    ---

once again, chota munh badi baat, but my cross-question on this "smart" daleel*

those guys obviously weren't the only people whom the Prophet's 3alaihis salam nigahe nubuwwat would see as becoming murtad or munafiq.

can we take this as an axiom or qa3eda?

if so, what about the other such people who would later on commit apostasy or hypocrisy? did the Prophet 3alaihis salam permit them too to consume or do anything willy nilly - like consuming alcohol, or committing other harams?

    * i'm gonna go out on a limb and allege that if this daleel is actually present in the works of Hanafi 3ulama with this exact same logic/message, there'd be a lot more explanations and nuances to it, rather than the "smart" way it was presented in by one of our tanatan seniors

... and we wonder how we lose Sunni kids to wahabis and devbandis!

    Allah knows best

Sadhguru invited al issa to his home in return to the affection showed.

The refreshing drink offered might be kharura e baqarah whereas the other would offer kharura e jamal.

so they have something in common to offer each other.

    cheers !!!

    1. So it's not shirk to love someone "a lot"?

    2. How exactly does soil become extinct? No seriously, I'm willing to call myself a science-dunce or a climate change conspiracy theory idiot, if someone can somehow explain to me the scientific nuances of "saving soil from extinction"!

    3. Question for zameel and our devbandi desi cousins - so if a saudi wahabi thinks of mustahiqe la3nat mushrik imam sadhguru during the qa3dah in namaz, what is the ruling on him? Be honest and consistent, guys!
