So very proud of Shahid Ali to tackle this fitnah. He should do more videos, talks, expositions, writings, etc. on such topics to counter atheism, liberalism, secularism, fitnah, dajjaliyat, and riddah etc.

Maybe even reach out to Asrar Rashid one more time, and team up with him for the common cause of fighting riddah and fitan. We could do with some strength and encourage other youth, students of knowledge, scholars, common folk all to be a unified body against these forces of evil that tahir, pirzada et al are a part of.

He did his homework, and wasn't speaking extempore, so I wanted to point out a few things which he shouldn't have missed given the context:

    1. Najashi radi Allahu 3anhu wasn't ever a Christian like those who believe in trinity. He was a Christian like Sayyiduna Salman Farsi who was a believer in the prophethood of Hazrat 3Eisa 3alahis salam. Plus they accepted Islam upon the advent of our Prophet 3alaihis salam.

    2. He missed citing Fath Al-Bari regarding the exegesis on the hadith on the letter to heraclius. Heraclius's brother was furious at the mention of "3azeemir room" (leader of romans) and didn't consider it as an honorable salutation, so much that heraclius himself told his brother something like 'what's your problem? He (Prophet 3alaihis salam) said the right thing'! This is the biggest proof that the Prophet 3alaihis salam was diplomatic yet uncompromising and curt in his address and did NOT honor the leaders of the kuffar (or their common folk).

    3. He should have been harsher a bit and should have stated the hukme shariat on this pirzada character and his actions, in addition to refuting those misrepresentations.

Why is Bakhtyar misapplying hadith to appease kafirs? Didn't he read the commentaries?

    CONDOLENCES

Earlier, the Vice-Principal, Bakhtyar Pirzada al-Azhari, joined our neighbours in Eaton in signing the Book of Condolence placed at the All Saints’ Church of Eaton and Gamston on the passing of HM Queen Elizabeth II, which now also marks the accession to the throne of HM King Charles III.

Some rays from the prophetic biography (Sirah):

    1. When the sublime Messenger, Prophet Muhammad [upon him be peace] saw that the Muslims in Makkah did not have the freedom to perform their prayers nor recite the Qur’an loudly in the Sacred Mosque, and the cruelty of the unbelievers of Makkah was increasing such that the lives of the Muslims were becoming restricted, he advised the Muslims to migrate to Abyssinia (Ethiopia). Praising al-Najashi (Negus), the Christian King of Abyssinia, Prophet Muhammad [upon him be peace] said: “You people should set out heading for Abyssinia, for there is a king there in whose country no one is wronged. Its society is of honesty and truthfulness. [You should stay there] Until Allah Almighty grants you salvation from the difficulties you are experiencing.” [Sirat Ibn Hisham, v. 1, p. 280]

    2. It is narrated from Ibn Umar [ra] that the sublime Messenger, Prophet Muhammad [upon him be peace], stated: “If someone comes before you who is respected amongst his own people, then honour him.” [Sunan Ibn Majah, Hadith 3712]

    3. Once when the sublime Messenger, Prophet Muhammad [upon him be peace], was sitting together with his noble Companions, the coffin of a Jew was carried by. Prophet Muhammad [upon him be peace] stood up and followed him with his eyes sadly. One of his Companions said: “He was a Jew,” and the Prophet [upon him be peace] replied: “Was he not a human being?” [Sahih al-Bukhari, Hadith 1312]

i couldn't help but reflect on the irony of tim winter reciting the ayat from surah kahf.

"they do not have knowledge of it; nor did their forefathers. an enormous word has come forth from their mouths - and they say not except a lie." [the context is of the xtians who claim that Allah ta'ala has taken a son - sub'Hanahu wa ta'ala]

    poor fellows!

they have probably forgotten that they too have to die someday - and fanciful and twisted interpretations won't avail them.

    ---
poor woman - she was a queen but died a destitute. and all these tributes and homages will not benefit her (obviously assuming that she died a kafir and the hukm is on the apparent).

anyway, this is a time for reflection for all those who hanker after glory and fame - there couldn't be a bigger example than the queen (i.e. liz/beth of britain) who had a lion's share of the glory and fame - scores of world leaders rose and passed away and the permanent fixture was the queen.

and now that she's dead - what has she taken with her? poor waqar azmi will have to take the silly OBE in his grave, the queen literally had to leave behind a kingdom and crown... (istifta academic types like musharraf can ponder over: can we put the OBE in the kafan along with ahad namah or is it makruh because it is shaped as a cross?)

how many they abandoned, among gardens and springs
and farms and noble stations [or grand palaces]
and pleasant things, in which they made merry
thus it is; we made all this to be inherited by other folk
so the heavens have not wept for them, nor the earth, and nor were they given respite.

Qamruzzaman Azmi is not responsible for his sons actions but he has to either publicly distance himself from his son or have some shame and jump off his moral high horse and never lecture the public with his characteristic hubris, otherwise we will have no choice but to assume it's owned by the royals.

    The Najran Delegation is mentioned.

Also mentions King Charles III has overcome the stupid binary of East/West, Muslims/Non Muslims.

Dr Waqar has held memorial events for Muslims at churches and a Christmas event at a Masjid.
