  1. Well, I´m flabbergasted! (Not.)

Actually kids of today could do well to have lists of words to learn the meanings of...since in state schools most don´t read novels--THE best way of improving one´s vocab. (with a dictionary in hand).

  2. I couldn't see lucubrate or indite or angst or bane or obviate.

learn as well the language of origami: the art of paper folding.

It's a lot of fann (fann ('art') fun - gerrit?!

do any have objections religiously to folding paper and making shapes?

parents should speak to their babies/read stories but please none of the infantilising codswollup.

you only got half the title. it is:

100 Words That All High School Graduates — And Their Parents — Should Know

this means that clever parents leads to clever children - makes sense.

    or

children should interact with their parents; so they learn off each other.

there are quite a few words that are about science. is it a fair choice of 100 for a graduate who never studied science? eg. just did psychology, geography, sociology.
