so saqib has gotten the cake and eating it too.

    fact check:
    - did saqib say all that in front of tahir OR before/after tahir came in/went out?
    - was it tahir's gathering or was he another guest like saqib?
    - why the "shaykhu'l islam, mufakkir e islam, huzur"?

if you say he is a sunni defending sunni-aqayid; i may be wrong, but i think saqib is just like tahir in his modus operandi (though he is not a sell-out heretic like tahir).

    - charismatic speaker? check.
    - crowd puller (facebook followers)? check.
    - short beard? check.
    - sama qawwali? check.
    - shouting and fawning over sunni practices? check.

for me, i was reminded of another politician like tahir; exploiting sentiments and gaining popularity points.
we have seen this pattern in many cases. people use sunniyat to gather followers, and then chart their own course - blind followers in tow. don't be fooled by firebrand speakers.
    -----
i am willing to take back my words, if saqib will run a sustained campaign on his facebook page. i understand he has thousands of 'followers' so let saqib begin doing the follow-up, fresh from basking in the fame of "fearlessly refuting tahir". if you don't have the heart to spend your capital for the benefit of sunniyat, don't come in this arena.

for the benefit of his followers (i don't really care about him; if he is good, he does it for his own life; if bad, he hurts his own self. i am not going to answer in his grave).

    - first let him list down problems with tahir (let his followers know what the hoo haa is all about)
    - list them in various levels of ikhtilaf (nazriyati, usuli, iytiqadi)
    - and point out which of them are merely offensive, which are heresies, and which are kufriyat
    - list aHkam about all those ikhtilafat
    - share fatawa of ulama who have refuted tahir
    - explicitly advise your followers to stay away from minhajis
    - openly advise your followers to renounce tahiri fitna

if he cannot do this - doing publicity stunts to gain followers and mark up credentials are just that. not a genuine service to sunniyat.

    ---
tahir is a zindiq - the man went to india and says those who say 'bharat mata ki jai is against islam' are jahil and they need to read islam!
woh shankaracharya, is "shaykhu'l islam" se behtar rahaa - and he understands islam better than this zindiq!

    al-iyadhu billah. nas'alu Allaha al-aafiyah.

I got the audio on whatsapp, it is good that he spoke up about padri, but if he has usuli-ikhtilaf then why did he address him with "huzoor mufakkir e islam dr. tahir al qadri sahab"? He should have said simply "dr. tahir al qadri sahab". I don't think that it was enough.

This is entire speech, incl. other speeches.. He does mention TUQ.
Pir Saqib sahib's speech is first, mentions him towards end of his speech.

[edit: deleted the link. It's a live link and so only shows the latest 4 hours, pir saqibs speech is therefore not there anymore.]

This is what one of his Mureeds posted:

NEVER has this been done before by any scholar, Dr Tahir ul Qadri was refuted in his own gathering by Allama Saqib Shaami Sahib infront 1000's.

Allama Saqib Shaami Sahib made it clear today in the Sufi Conference that we have Usooli I'tiqaadi differences with Dr Tahir ul Qadri, he also spoke against perennialism, stating no sufi is a perennialists. It was also made clear that A'la Hazrat Imam Ahmad Rida Khan is the differentiating factor in Aqidah.

    ______

I have listened to the audio above and he definitely did mention that about TUQ, but all you here about perennialis is him just mention the word "Perennialism" and then it goes silent and then he ends the speech.

The video link after your post is obviously not the full speech given by him since it has nothing in relation to what he says about TUQ

the conference was a great success.

it clearly showed that no one of repute among sunni ulama in india and pakistan support tahir jhangvi.
and those who showed up have only brought themselves into disrepute.

as sherkhan rightly pointed out, we know the sell-outs.

hindus worship everything. from stones to monkeys to pigs (varaha is an avatar of vishnu) to women to snakes - practically anything except Allah ta'ala! sub'HanAllah.

"bharat mata" as a personification of the land that is india, and eventually as a goddess was conceived during the freedom movement.

    ---
    just like all other devtaas.

in this age when praising raama is not just given a clean chit, but some "muftis" want us to commend obaid for his praise of raama; this slogan is relatively mild.

al-iyadhu billah, i am not saying that it is ok - but just comparing to how things have deteriorated. the hindus and kuffar beating us black and blue is because, "ulama"* are afraid of politicians more than Allah ta'ala! nas'alu Allaha al-aafiyah.

*i do not speak of truly Allah-fearing ulama and self-respecting non-aalims. it is about sell-outs.

    --------------
har musalmaN rag e baaTil ke liye nishtar thaa
us ke aayinah e hasti meiN `amal jauhar thaa
jo bharosa thaa usey quwwat e baazu par thaa
hai tumheN mawt ka Dar; us ko Khudaa ka Dar thaa

(the earlier) muslim was like a piercing arrow in the jugular vein of falsehood and evil
and the mirror of his existence was illuminated by the light of the jewel of righteous deeds*
he put his trust in his own strength**
you fear death - and he feared only Allah

*he also means action as opposed to inaction and resigned to fate - hence the amal, as the next line indicates; also jauhar need not be literal jewel - it means substance, that which gives shine to the mirror - else it is only glass.

** meaning he wasn't a coward begging for help from enemies of Allah; he was ready to fight his war himself.

    ---
i copy this from an old post. for all his faults, iqbal's poetry when it concerns the state of muslims is close to ground reality:

har koyi mast may-e zawq e tan aasani hai
tum musalmaN ho? yeh andaz e musalmani hai?
haydari faqr hai, nay daulat e usmani hai
tum ko aslaaf se kyaa nisbat e ruuhani hai?
woh zamane meiN muazzaz the musalmaN ho kar
aur tum khaar huwe taarik e qur'aN ho kar

every one is intoxicated with the taste of the wine of comfort (and luxury)
are you muslims? is this the manner of a muslim?
neither are you like haydar* (mawla ali) in poverty; nor are you like (hazrat) uthman in wealth
what spiritual relation do you claim of your elders?
they were the most honourable in their times, by being good muslims
and you are humiliated [in your times] because of abandoning the qur'an.

    -----
    about brotherhood:

tum ho aapas meiN ghazabnaak woh aapas meiN raheem
    tum khaTa-kaar o khaTa-beeN; woh khaTa-posh o kareem
chahtey sab haiN ke hoN auj e surayya pe muqeem
pahle waysa koyi payda to karey qalb e saleem
takht e faghfur bhi unkaa tha, sareer e kay* bhi
yuN hi bateN haiN, ke tum meiN woh Hamiyyat hai bhi?

you are angry towards one another; and he (the early exemplar muslims) were kind to one another
you are sinners and eager to find others' faults - they concealed the faults of their brothers and were gracious
everyone wishes to rise as high as pleiades
but one should first develop such a sound heart
[thus the early muslims] ruled over the chinese and persian thrones
but you? you are only talk - do you have that determination and zeal?

*kay is an emperor of the kiyaniyan/kayanian family; thus persian throne.

    -----

khud kushi sheywa tumhara, woh ghayur o khud-daar
tum ukhuwwat se gureyzaN woh ukhuwwat pe nisaar
tum ho guftaar saraapaa woh saraapaa kirdaar
tum taraste ho kalee ko, woh gulistaN ba kinaar
ab talak yaad hai qawmoN ko hikayat un ki
naqsh hai Saf'Hah e hasti pey Sadaqat un ki

you display suicidal traits and are killing yourselves, but they (the early muslims) were self-respecting and dignified
you avoid and keep distance from your brothers - but they sacrificed everything for brotherhood
you are only talk from head-to-toe, and they were action from head-to-toe
you impore and entreat for a single bud and they basked in lush gardens in full bloom
all nations remember their stories until now,
their truthfulness is etched on the pages of history

misl e anjum ufuq e qawm pey raushan bhi huwe
but-e-hindi ki mahabbat meiN barahman bhi huwe
shauq e parwaz meiN mahjur e nisheman bhi huwe
bey-`amal the hi jawaaN; deen se bad-zan bhi huwe
in ko tahzeeb ne har band se aazad kiyaa
laa ke ka'abey se sanam khaney meiN aabad kiyaa

as a star, they rose on the skies of the community and shone bright
and then they became brahmins in the love of the indian idol
and in their eagerness and intense desire to fly, they abandoned their nests
youngsters were anyway not practising muslims, they began do doubt faith itself
the new 'culture' emancipated them from every restraint
it took them out from ka'abah and made them settle in a temple of idols.

    -----
    upon the muslims being humiliated:

tu samajhta hai yeh samaN hai dil aazaari ka
imtiHaaN hai terey eesaar ka, khud-daari ka

you think all this is substance for breaking your heart and causing you grief
rather, this is a test of your sacrifice, your pride

why are you dreading the neigh of the horses of enemies?
the light of Truth cannot be extinguished by mere blowing breath of the enemies

This is really sad that madani miaN doesn't speak against napak padri in categorical words and in the language of fatwa, so far i only have heard his personal telephone calls, which should not be posted online without his permission. The need of time is that he should issue 2-towk fatwa on napak padri.

@basirqadri786 some of those photos are from an earlier meeting. Also the organisers have been devious in using pictures of people who were never going to attend or have pulled out eg Amin Miya Barkati and Mufti Ansar ul Qadri

I also see Sayyid Hashimuddin al-Gaylani (current sajjadah nasheen of Darbar Ghawth al-Azam?) in "sufi7" pic. This Arab unfamiliarity with Indian reality doesn't wash as an excuse.

Modi is an internationally recognised murderer. Every Muslim around the world knows that. If he doesn't, then he is not literate enough to read newspapers or is not aware of world event. The latter is a genuine excuse for a real sufi, but then a real sufi would also know the reality or truth directly (without the intermediation of news channels and public informers).
