bro it is well accepted in desi 3urf for 2nd yr students to give tuition to 1st year students! go for it.
No harm in an advanced student of knowledge teaching either . May Allāh ﷻ allow you to complete your studies and benefit muslims. Ãmīn
sorry brothers. an off the cuff remark must not mislead you. it was a rhetorical question. perhaps after i complete my studies, i can think of teaching. wa billahi't tawfiq.
Asalam Alaikum Shaykh What is stopping you from teaching people I would sign up to it and pretty sure many other would too.
free stuff is not valued. it is human nature. it is said that free stuff is valued when coupled with something of value ('the zero-price effect'). if mawlana were to charge £2000 and give a generous £500 discount, the place *might* be full. of course, it should carry some heavily embellished certificate - with dozens of big names and make a big show of handing out the prized certificate - invite half a dozen celebrity shaykhs. --- i had said once that the syllabus zaytuna was teaching for four years - for some huge amount - could be taught inside one year for no-cost, say by a small-time part-time student like me. but do you think anyone would even bother to sign up? it is all marketing and glitz. i hope AQ doesn't read this post, else he will go on a big rant about how unattractive our approach is
Was thinking about this today... We all love free stuff. Something taught for free, with an online option, where we can sit anywhere in the world and attend classes, yet our state is such that we don't want to learn Deen. This is our ticket to jannat if done with ikhlaas. We can pay thousands of pounds to gain dunyawi knowledge but can't spare some hours of our time to learn Deen. Allah allow me and all our sunni brothers tawfiq to study this beautiful Deen and use our time wisely. Allah bless our sunni Ulama who have tirelessly worked hard to spread the teachings of ahlus sunnah and continue to do so with such great initiatives as the one's below. Aameen summa aameen
