    ĥarb means war; miĥrab (prayer niche) is a cognate – it is named thus because one wages war on nafs and shayţān from this place.*

    usr (hardship) is with definite article (al-usr) and therefore, it is the same when repeated; but yusr is not, therefore it is different.
