Allah Ta'ala in His limitless Eternal Wisdom has given the Haramayn alSharifayn to no one else but the Habaib of Hijaz. Think about it. There must be a reason. The Imam of the Haramayn is Sayyiduna Mawlana Sayyid Shaykh Habib MuHammad 'Alawi alMaliki alHasani raDyAllahu 'anhu. The Habaib being the Shurafa of the Haramayn have affected ALL Muslims on earth. No one can deny this. The blessed Barzanji 'Iraqi Kurd family took this influence back to northern 'Iraq and Western Iran, and spread it over from village to village. The influence of the Habaib among Sunni Iranians of the South is deep. Particularly in Hormuzgan and Baluchistan.
I know this Sidi Suleiman. JazakAllahuma Khaira. I was actually curious to learn brother Wadood's take on this
Sayyidi al-Karim Chisti, I'm sure you're aware of the history of the Cape-Malay's right? Many of the prisoners were the leaders of the Jihad against the colonisers, and the Haba'ib were at the forefront of that movement. Hence, their tradition lives on there. The Ratib al-Haddad is still recited, to this day.
The barakah of the blessed Habaib of Yemen and Hijaz has not only reached Bilad alShaam and Turkey, but most of the Islamic World, if you look carefully. Its a blessing to be a part of their silsila. An honour for which we should bow down in shame and cry in shukr to Allah subHanahu wa ta'ala for blessing us with this ni'ma. The whole of the Indian Ocean belongs to them. And then 1) Arabia 2) Horn of Africa countries 3) East Africa 4) South India 5) Dakkan 6) Bengal and Assam 7) South East Asia from Myanmar to Papua [a youtube i posted recently] 8) Philippines 9) South Africa 10) North Africa, through Egypt 11) West Africa through Sudan 12) Indian Ocean Island countries Even the 'ulama of Khorasan and Afghanistan and Central Asia look very very similar to the Habaib of Yemen and Hijaz al Shareef These are facts on the ground.
yeah, this one's a classic, ma sha' Allah! Habib 'Ali al-Habshi used to say that his effect would reach Sham. The famous 'qad tamma Llah maqasidana' sung in Sham is also by Habib 'Ali Habshi. During Habib Kazim's stay here in the UK, he was really moved by this particular qasidah, saying that the effect of Kalamu Llah and Rasulu Llah salla Llahu 'alayhi wa alihi wa sallam is evident in the words of the Muhammadi, perfect 'arifin. a qasidah of Habib 'Ali al-Habshi radhiy Allah 'anh. the original version is "fi Huraydah qad hadarna", where the Imam was speaking about his mashayikh. It's sung in Syria, here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UMTo59DB7qw
