No noooooooo Sidi Asif, tell him to go to ---:edit:----. He would enjoy very much there.

As for mighty Tasawwuf, mighty Love, mighty kindness, mighty protection of the heart, one of the mighty answers is Imam al-Haddad :ra: Allahu Akbar!

  4. To the Shia guy

    assalamu ala manitaba al Huda.
If you want to debate then do it properly; one question at a time. no flooding and no changing the topic.

on the shia objections to the marriage of sayyidina 'umar to sayyida umm kulthum bint Ali: Shaykh GF Haddad has answered all your objections to it point by point here:
    http://www.livingislam.org/o/umuk_e.html

We can go onto the next point you made about 'Irfan Shah Sahib's speech later.

    why we don't refute

we can refute you, but what i have realized over the years is that 95% of those who come to argue do not have the brains nor the knowledge to comprehend the proofs. plus hiding behind a screen, all you have to do is refuse to acknowledge even if you are unanswerable. and throw accusations of course.

in my opinion, the only way one should do munaDHara or refutation/debate is face-to-face; because even the most shameless will be forced to shut up when faced with truth. otherwise you just run away or give some lame excuse or keep writing the same balderdash, spamming over and over again - all it takes is CTRL+C/CTRL+V.

i have been arguing with numerous people for years now [astaghfirullahi'l azeem] - both online and offline. surprisingly, the lions on screen are pathetic and clueless kittens in person. because online, you don't have to show that you know anything - all you do is copy someone's 'research' and paste it whether you understand it or not. and it takes what? two minutes? do a google and get the answer of your choice and paste it here - even if you have never read it.

for a sufi, one should debate only when it is necessary - not just to prove a point. rarely have i met a person, genuinely concerned about the issues and is willing to discuss for the sake of learning the truth. about 99% of the folk just come with an idea already decided upon, only wanting to convince you of their viewpoint. see alaHazrat's advice on this matter.

    ----------
sometimes, the salafis make me laugh out loud at their pompous 'criticisms'. they are so shallow that one wonders whether any of them has even read a basic book of usul (al-Hadith)

it is very easy with google. someone says: 'mursal'? no problem google 'mursal.' oh, sorry - you got maryam mursal, the singer. try 'mursal hadith.'
[*] skim around for a respectable-looking site and copy the required paragraph. you don't have to really understand it; just cite it. and slam hanafis for using mursal hadith - all you have to do is, scoff with a mighty air: 'oh, that hadith you use is mursal'

but if such a googler is present, he can be cross-questioned and his enormous ignorance laid bare. he will then be forced to shut up, when you give him proper proofs. the idea is not to humiliate anyone - just to put a pretender in his place.

ten years ago, we did not have so many people arguing about faith and religion; and now, people who have never seen a book of hadith in their miserable lives comment on how imam abu Hanifah's istinbat (derivation/interpretation) is incorrect regarding a hadith. this fad has rubbed off on internet-illiterates as well.

unfortunately, the same is becoming true of those who side with sunnis, which is an alarming trend.

if you really want the salafi kind, use the 'loud-mouthed' irsaaaaal hadeeeeeth. the more the vowels, the better and the more knowledgeable you sound. i was astonished at the imam of ka'abah reciting the qur'an: sometimes he drags the madd muttaSilah to ten alif. no, seriously.

    Salaam all!

The links don't seem to be working for me, I keep on getting transferred back to the Sunniport homepage.

Also what happened to all the talks by the Hyderabadi ulema?

  9. Asalam alikum I have seen this video

    -----------------------------------
    moderator's note:

i have deleted your obscenely long post. you must perhaps read the rules before you post. this is a sunni site and we don't like to argue with shia here. you think we are unfair? who cares? we will not let you whine and wail.

the web is a huge place - you can do your ma'tam somewhere else. the shia, or more appropriately, the rawafiD are unwanted guests here, if they try to proselytize. however, we welcome you to repent from this stupidity and various bid'ahs and come into the garden of ahlu's sunnah. if so, you won't have to beat yourself and you will be spared punishment here and in the hereafter.

    ---
here i have at hand, tuHfah ithna ashariy and sawayiq al-muHriqah among other finest treatises on the mendacity of the rawafiD and debunking their fitna. in addition to a small-fish like me, there are quite a lot of learned folk around who can answer your nonsensical claims/objections.

but we have better things to do.

    Salaams brother,
The second part of the speech (second mp3 file) is not complete. Any chance of getting the remainder of the talk?

Q&A with Allama Pir Sayyid Irfan Shah damat barkatuhum

    <a href="http://www.sunniport.com/audio/asif/http://www.sunniport.com/portal/dload.php?action=file&file_id=257">Part 1</a>::<a href="http://www.sunniport.com/audio/asif/Syed_Irfan_Hussain_Shah_Mashadi___Sawaal_Jawab_2.mp3">Part 2</a>

A brilliant two part speech at a mosque in Bradford where Allama Pir Sayyid Irfan Shah sahib answers questions on such topics as, who are the Ahlul Bayt? Did Sayyidina Umar's nikah with the daughter of Sayyidina Ali take place? Can a non-sayyid marry a sayyidzaadi? Who really killed Imam Husayn? What is the status of he who insults the Prophet? What are the qualities of a true Shaykh? and many others, almost exclusively using the Fatawa Ridawiyyah as reference.

The second part of the talk by Allama Sayyid 'Irfan Shah. This includes a lot of quotes from the Shia's own sources such as the books of Mullah Baqir Majlisi. It also includes his debate with Shaykh Umar Sudani of Makkah and his meeting with Grand Ayatollah al-Khoie in Iraq. One of the best talks ever!
