Salaam, I needed to know whether WFIA (www.wfia.org.uk) is a proper sunni masjid nowadays or not. I happen to be near walthamstow for a week or so and have developed doubts about this place from the last time I was there (a year ago) and when seeing events run at this masjid. They seem to promote PAQ of Walthamstow a lot and he does several events at this place. You can also see him advertised on their twitter page. When I went there the last time assuming this is a sunni place the person who mostly gives the khutma (don't know his name but I found a picture of this person on their website http://www.wfia.org.uk/ask-a-scholar/4578055123) ridiculed those in his jumma speech who do not consider Abu Talib as a muslim as gumrah! I know imam Muhammad Adil Shahzad (Asim sahib's brother) frequents this place a lot and so far haven't heard anything dodgy about him! I would appreciate if any local who knows this place can comment. Thanks
