Abdu'r Rahman Hasan and Imran ibn Mansur:

I take it you will NOT seek the tawassul of RasulAllah sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam on judgement day...

You will ask Allah ta'ala directly?

    Ok, so tawassul is shirk...

Shirk is to associate partners with Allah.

Does that mean wahabis seek the tawassul of Allah that they deem it shirk to be sought from anyone else...

    Think!

Quran 5:35 mentions tawassul. So we know for sure that it's permissible.

If something is permissible for one creation, then it can't possibly be shirk for another creation.

Otherwise, what you're saying is that for the creation that you allow tawassul, you believe that it's a part of Allah and that's why it isn't shirk - but for the creation that you disallow tawassul, you're effectively saying that it's shirk because it is associating a partner with Allah!

Similarly, if you say seeking help from the living is fine but seeking it from the dead is shirk - then you're effectively saying that the living are a part of Allah so it's still tawhid but as soon as they die, they are no longer partners so it becomes shirk.

    Preposterous Wahabism!

[Zumar 39:30] Indeed you (O dear Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him) will taste death, and they (the disbelievers) too will die.

Scholars mention here, that the passing away of the Messenger sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam is mentioned separately because there's a difference between his demise and the death of any other!

Wahabis say we can take the tawassul of our good actions.

I say, how do you know those actions are accepted or not?

Why not take the tawassul instead of he who is definitely accepted by Allah, i.e. RasulAllah sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam?

Anyway, if making tawassul through your deeds is allowed, then why not the Messenger? After all, they're both makhlūq. They are both not Allah.

Sunni tawassul is logical - adopt the intermediation of that about which it is known by certainty that it is accepted - the person of RasulAllah sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam!

Ps: I'm not against tawassul of good deeds. That's allowed too.

One thing which I think is really important:

Our elder, non-English speaking ulama, might not be aware of today's debate.

Can everyone let their local scholar know so that they can:

    1. Make du'a
    2. Be aware that the young ulama are carrying the flag of Ahlu's Sunnah

Let our akabir know about the likes of Shaykh Asrar.

We must bridge any gaps between young and old akabir. Our elder ulama must encourage our young ones.

Shouldn't ALL Sunnis be supporting Shaykh Asrar...?

Why only his students et al...?

He is doing the work of Ahlu's Sunnah so I'm watching closely who backs him or not...

The hadith on seeing evil mentions three levels:

    1. Change with hand
    2. With tongue
    3. Consider evil in the heart

The third is called 'ađ'áf al-īmān' (weakest faith) which means changing evil by hand and tongue are signs of strong faith.

Debating the innovators is therefore the job of one's with strong faith.

Don't try to be a bigger sufi than the likes of Imam Abu Hanifa رضى الله عنه by talking against taking part in debates.

Didn't our earliest imams debate heretics?!

Then why are you pretending to be so sufisticated?

    False tasawwuf. Fake sufism.

True tasawwuf is to quash evil. The greatest sufi is the one who destroys heresy.
