    Salamun 'Alaykum

Refer to Imam Muwaafaq ud Din ibn Qudaamah's Lum'at ul-I'tiqaad. It is a Sunni creed book that totally demolishes any anthropomorphism whilst at the same time maintaining the Zaahir lettering of the Attributes discussed.

Zaahir is not to say that Allah's mutashaabihah Attributes are known by their meaning. Infact, we know the meaning of thr word, but how Allah means it, we do not know.

kanzul iman: wo baDi mahr waala us ne arsh par istiwa farmaaya jaisa us ki shaan ke laayiq hai.

alaHazrat used istiwa and said as is befitting for His majesty.

i read a dozen urdu translations that translated istiwa and then read kanzul iman where alaHazrat left it untranslated.

the others were all incorrect according to previous tafsirs and it is best left untranslated because they all suggested a physical body to Allah.

if i find the periodical i read it in, i will post details.
