Watch Shaykh Haroun Kanj. Great Sunni Ashari daee from Australia
He had a debate with the Wahhabis on Ashari vs Salafi creed,I've linked it below.

It has about 5 different parts but very beneficial.

He also does regular durus on clubhouse on the true salaf's aqida proving ashari aqeedah from the books of Imam Tabari, Imam Abu Hanifa, and Imam Shafi'i

Not really sure how there's any doubt on the Ash'ari/Matuiridi/true Athari aqeedah. If you take a look at Aqeedah at tahawiyyah the main points are mentioned which is the creed of the sunna.

You'd have to be more specific and ask, Ash'ari/Matuiridi believe XYX, is this the creed of the sunna?
The main disputes were related to Allah's asma wa sifat, which in turn affects beliefs in qadr, the creation of acts, nature of the quran..

As for the reasom why other 'kalam' scholars are mentioned, it suffices to say that they were the ones to explain the hadiths and their creedal aspects. To see thr actual hadiths you'd have to read the referenced work. It is counterproductive to quote the quote of a quote...

As-Salāmu Alaykum. How does one know that Ash'ari/Māturīdī creed is the creed of the sunna? When I open a book of
Ash'ari/Māturīdī theology the statements are more likely to be those of Taftāzānī and Jurjānī than Ahadith and the Athār of the salaf even though these abound.

I am aware of the hadīth regarding the majority, but using it as a proof the correctness of the Ash'ari creed was refuted by Ustādh Abdur Rahman Hassan In his debate with Shaykh Asrar Rashid on Istighātha, so how does one prove this creed's authenticity?

The reason I inquire is not due to debating with salafis (which I don't do) but is out of desire to know the truth of this matter.
