excellent translation with a very informative introduction and commentary. a wonderful read.
Concise and comprehensive:
Keemiya-e Sa'adat by Imam Ghazali
Ihya al-Ulum, kitab riyadatun nafs
Mukashifat ul Quloob : by Hazrat Hujjat ul islaam, Imam Ghazali
Kashf ul Mahjoob : by Hazrat Ali Hajveri (Data Ganj Baksh).

Originally in Persian it has been translated into Urdu and English al Hamdulillah
The English version is called Horizons of Perfection translated by Shaykh 'Abd ul Haadi al Qadri.
What books regarding tazkiyyay tun-nafs do you recommend for a beginner?
(Something about what bad traits are and how they can be treated, and what good traits are and how they can be gained, would be good.)
