Can solitary reports (ahād) override established creed, even if they're rigourously authenticated (sahih)?

    #Alahazrat writes:

'In summary, the question of the most superior among the companions is certainly not a matter of individual merit, wherein weak reports are also accepted. In fact, Mawāqif and Sharh Mawāqif elucidate that superiority is from the chapter of beliefs, wherein even rigorously authenticated solitary reports are not considered.

They both wrote that this issue does not pertain to deeds, for which speculative proof is sufficient. Rather, it pertains to beliefs for which definitive evidence (dalīl qatyī) is necessary.'

So I ask, when even ahād sahih hadith that prima facie contradict the superiority of Abu Bakr Siddiq رضي الله عنه are favourably interpreted to maintain the doctrine, why did Irfan Shah use a forged one in order to renunciate this creedal matter?
