Uighurs were just the trailer for eradication/cleansing programme. Now the mainland Hui muslims are being gradually (but surely) de-Islamicised (in the name of sinicisation).

The situation reminds me of Xinjiang in 2014. In last 7 years, practice of Islam has been completely outlawed in Xinjiang. At the same rate, Hui muslims would meet the same fate by 2030.

This is the problem with left-wing liberals like Pilger, Greenwald, Hedges, Saker etc. They see everything in binaries of West and anti-West. I used to frequent a lot, but in the aftermath of Syrian independence war it became clear that the left is unwilling to critically view Russia or China. For them, enemy of West is a friend.

Only a hardened commie or a chinese bootlicker can condone the ethnic cleansing of Uighurs. To my mind, Muslim suffering in Xinjiang is as grievous as that during the Spanish inquisition or Soviet repression in Stalin era. It is equally sad that we have farmed the criticism of China to the hypocritical West, while IoC and Muslim countries choose to look the other way (if not giving clean chit like IK, MBS etc.)

what about john pilger's claims that there is no "real" evidence of oppression and most of is western propaganda to demonise china so they can take some or other military action against it to curb it's growing threat to Western markets?

Duplicity in the name of diplomacy (around 1 min mark)

This Pakistani "critter" condones Chinese treatment of Uighurs.

So much for Pakistan being the voice for the oppressed in Kashmir, and IK passionately grandstanding for Muslim ummah in UNGA.

If by any chance this 'yellow' regime is the much dreaded trial at the hands of yajuj-majuj, then we are in for a long, tortuous wait for relief!

Some Muslim scholars/non-scholars have conjectured that the people of yajuj-majuj are huns/mongols who will over-run much of Islamic lands, wave after wave. Or it seemed, when mongols ravaged and laid to waste the Islamic empire in 12th-14th century. Even purported physical appearance of yajuj-majuj eerily matches those of mongoloid people.

NYT revelation of official documents on uighur repressions.

Sometimes I wonder if Uighurs in Xinjiang 50-100 years later will come out with faith intact the way Soviet Muslims survived years of communist repressions (even though it has resulted in severe loss of Islamic heritage and continuation of practice). China on the other hand is devoid of any moral compass and is the most ruthless regime imaginable (within just 5 years they have managed to knock down all mosques, graveyards and re-educated millions). It will not stop short of anything else than total erasure. Emboldened by its impunity, Chinese now seems to be rolling similar measures against Hui Muslims. Will China succeed in committing mass-scale annihilation like Spain did?

Apart from Turkey, no Muslim country has bothered to raise any protest (with MBS, Imran Khan etc busy giving clean chits). A concerted, co-ordinated effort by all Muslim countries to boycott Chinese import is probably first step to pressurise China. This can be further amplified by all Muslim countries reneging on commitment to China's belt-and-road initiative (BRI). For all its power, China can't afford any hit to its trading capacity. Who will bell the cat first?
