وعليكم السلام Bahar e Shariat (BeS) says: If he did salam forgetfully, the same time as the imam, he can just stand and complete his prayer without sajdah sahw. But if he made salam some time after the imam, he would complete the prayer and make sajdah sahw.
Assalāmualaykum, What is the ruling regarding the person who joins jamā'at late and forgetfully performs one salām before remembering that he must pray his missed rakaats. Should he perform his salah again or does he do sajdah e sahw?
