Do you mean instead the beloved is male and the lover is female?

The qawwali is entitled, 'jaoongi ban kar jogan, Sarkar ki galli mein' -- I shall go as a yogini* to the alley of the Leigelord صلى الله عليه وسلم

    * jogan (from the Hindi/Sanksrit. female version of jogi (yogi--a practiioner of yoga). A common term in North Indian/esp. Pakistani Punjabi Sufi poetry to represent a female devotee. It is customary for the male poets to write the Sufi poetry in Panjabi as if from a female--the beloved is female, the lover male--POV.
