I remember 25 years i was present in a lecture of this guy hamza yusuf with friends and relatives and some one asked him a question about circumcision - someone from the audience (back then his audience didn't exceed more than 100 people) quoted hadith of ibrahim alayhis salam and asked if mr hamza yusuf was circumcised? The answer was No, and he, mr hanson , quoted some rukhsha... for the other guy you can email his secretary and get the answer. I am not sure if she will respond as she may consider this private question and not religious question... i don't know if hamza yusuf hanson or tj abdal hakim winters did get circumcised after reading this post or had recently after visiting .... My point is: you claim to be great maliki scholar with tons of ijaza and what not, yet you haven't got the basics and you have the excuses while you know the hadith of Prophet Ibrahim alayhis salam but then why do you insult the poor innocent common folk who have been oppressed killed and murdered by tyrants.... Dear brother abdal qadir No wallahi i was a genuine question What i wanted to point out was how come you talk about khorooj rebellion is haram in islam when the government is itself a non muslim government meaning the government itself says or charter or thr country is democracy or marxism or communism so the rules of khurooj don't apply just as to be a scholar it is religiously fard to have circumcision in our islam, Meaning hey you : have you done your basics fard like circumcision before you misguide others on what is khurooj and what is haram and laughing and insulting general poor miskeen muslim people.... By the way, you can have a look 99.9% christian white people don't do circumcision but once they become muslim they should get by why don't they but they have the audacity to speaking to how to insult muslim common folk...
