بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Salaam alaykom ya siyyidi AlHamdullillah you are quite right, however due to his methodology it was not always apparent that the shaykh was correcting them. This is how it has been explained to me from the shaykhs son, generally other tariqats will make sure the student (potential mureed) is steadfast and has some kind discipline (reads qur'an, prays salah has some knowledge of halaal haram etc) before initiating him into the silsala, however the eminent sayyed and shaykh, would invited people to his gathering (sohbah and/or zikr) whether they were and are black white pink or martian (joke), alim or non alim and then sort their issues out afterwards, so you have a situation where a brother or sister is not practicing Islam i.e. praying salah or reading qur'an etc but would attend the shaykh's sohbet and after a while start to pray their salah, do their wazaifs and hopefully start to develop a jazba for the deen, inshallah this would include learning knowledge to (Fiqh aqeedah etc). The idea being if you have a person regularly attending you can then work on their adab, aKhlaaq and give then hopefully a better type of tarbiyah. Given the comments in recent types this type of methodology is not everyone's cup of tea, everyone to their own i guess! Minallahi taufeeq bihurmatil habeeb
" haqqani naqshbandi mureeds are not supervious to the illness sometimes referred to as mureed syndrome!!!" I think that even the Shaykh himself was quite aware of many of the illnesses possessed by the mureeds, I gathered that from a few of his videos.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم Salaam alaykom sayyed sahib and brother exposition, to get clarification, in my humble thought and opinion you cannot get that without looking at the whole picture, that way you can correctly place the knowledge you have gained regarding an issue. s i stated previously i know a number of naqshbandi haqqani's and have discussed several issues with them regarding statements attributed the the shaykh (Shaykh sayyed Muhammed nazim alayhi rehma). In my knowledge and research it has turned in 99.9% of occasion statements made by others attributed to the shaykh (aqeedah issues arrisen from statements of Dr haddad etc). On the one ocassion where i could vary7ify the statement was made by the shaykh i went with some haqqani's to see the shaykh himself to glee clarification, all i can say is that the way i heard it was not the way the shaykh explained to me in person, so make of that what you wish. In generalisation, haqqani naqshbandi mureeds are not supervious to the illness sometimes referred to as mureed syndrome!!!
I guess so, truth is there is a lack of clarity on certain matters, From politics to creed and contemporary issues. It matters to me because I interact with these people every day, I think a general awareness of events is quite crucial. If I posted about some known deviants like Nuh keller I don't think anyone would have an issue. In times of confusion I find myself seeking clarity but unusual sources (i.e this forum), That's what its come down too, Having to go on forums to get clarity.
I am not more knowledgable than anyone, but the brother Exposition's observation was valid, i.e. it is a negative trend that he is noticing taking place in a modern Sufi order, a phenomenon he is not respectful of, as they are not fully representative of Islamic thought, they only isolate certain aspects, and people have noticed a lot of negative repurcussions of their actions in many parts of the Islamic world. However, your advice is also good, "min husn al islam al mar'u tarkuhu ma la ya'naihi", this is a key aspect of keeping away from negative vibes, but in this case, the brother is not really leaving his spiritual zone to make that observation, its just coming naturally from his time in Islamic studies/learning. Maybe start a private conversation with him to find out why he thinks the site of Ahmed Amiruddin is an important discovery, this way, you break barriers to communication and more work gets done.
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم If they are having succession issues let them deal with it why should it concern you? "min husnil islami il marya tarkahu mala yani" comes to mind, knowledgeable brother/sister can correct me if the hadithi shareef is incorrect maybe some more km
have you guys come across this looney bin of a website? http://ahmedamiruddin.wordpress.com/ seems like they haqqanis are having succession issues, this is typical of ..... http://ahmedamiruddin.wordpress.com...azim-by-sayyid-ahmed-amiruddin-july-8th-2014/ this website is a goldmine! the haqqanis are backing the king of jordan? the zionist schill?
بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم I have some friends who are Naqshbandi Haqqani's they have informed me the "EShaykh" and any other website by that means claiming to be that of the late Maulana sayyed Shaykh Nazim Sahib alayhe rehma are not his and do not belong to him. In fact Eshaykh was set up and run by mureeds of Maulana sayyed Muhammed Hisham Kabbani (Son in law of Shaykh nazim alayhe rehma). I suggest in the light of these fact any issues with Eshaykh or any other alleged shaykh nazim websites, should be taken up with the administrators of those sites, as they are the ones making the claims. REGARDING THE OPINIONS ABOVE I SUGGEST BROTHERS SHOULD TAKE THEM UP WITH DR GABRIAL HADDAD (HE HAS HIS OWN WEBSITE) AND SHAYKH HISHAM as Shaykh Nazim alayhe reham has recently passed away may Allah bless his soul. In my humble opinion it is not good adab to refer or make inferences about our deceased in such manner especially when we are taking about the bani saaadaat and ahle fatimiyyah. The Beloved of Allah said, "izkuro muHaasan mowtaakom" (as salaatu was salaam alayka ya rasoollaha sallahu alayhi was salam)viz. remember the merits of your dead. We should try to have high adab for each other and especially our deceased however we see them (good or bad).
whatever is easy for the nafs, what else? --- let us put it this way, if there is a hadith that says, do not salute them, do not visit them if they fall sick, do not attend their funerals; and you have the shaykhs of this age saying/doing otherwise.
Question: Assalam u alayekum Ya Sheikh Hisham ! I have read a few fatawa from fatawa e razawiyya.Imam Ahmad Raza is quite famous and authentic w.r.t to his fatawa but his stance about wahabbis and shia’s is quite hard (as compared to some other ulema of ahl e sunnat wal jamaat). He forbids to pray in the imamat of wahabi’s and shia’s (although he has’nt mentioned word wahabi /shia). He also forbids to keep relations, friendship or intimation with such people. So,what should we do?Should we follow barelvi school or or the traditional ahle sunnat wal jamaat school?(According to barelvi school, you can’t even saysalam to a bad’mazzhab i.e wahabbi or shia.) Shukran ya syedi. Answer: wa `alaykum salam, About praying behind Wahabi imam see the Post Praying in Mosque with People of Different `Aqidah. Regarding giving salams and other issues, ourshuykh do give salams and return them, keep relationships and even accept invitations from Wahabis, Salafis, Shi`as, and Deobandis. Keep in mind, many people entered the Path of Truth and Tasawwuf after being Wahabi, Shi`a, even Christian, Jew or atheist. This would not have happened had Sufis/Sunnis completely cut their ties of relationship. That is where the importance of having a living shaykh comes into play. In any case you have both opinions, now choose which you wish to follow. Taher Siddiqui
salam I am an Indian Muslim belongs to a Wahabi family. I want to marry a Shia girl. I want to ask that is it necessary to convert her into Sunnism, as I see no difference between Shia and Sunni. Both believe in Allah, Prophet Mohammad, Holy Quran and practice five times salah also. They have only some political differences over khilafatonly. So please tell me that is our shariah allow us to marry inter-sect with Shias or not and if not then why is it so. Also refer me hadiths in this regard So please help me in this regard. thanking you Answer: `Alaykum as-Salam, The Shari`ah permits a man to marry a Jewish or Christian woman, so it certainly permits to marry a non-Sunni Muslim woman. It only recommends or rather requires that that man have strong iman, otherwise his religion will be in danger. You should take bay`a with Mawlana Shaykh Nazim if you have not already done so, and do the beginner’s wazifa for six months as it will be more helpful for you than six years of hadith studies, and Allah knows best. Prophet (upon him blessings and peace) said: “Deen(religion) consists entirely in Nasiha.” Hajj Gibril Haddad This is the answer given on the official website of shaykh nazim and his mureeds. Why dont our scholars open up against these indivisuals.
