of course Aqdas. Why do you think they have joined with Tahir? These people are not Tafdilis anymore, rather they have gone further.

he himself emphasises speculative. just to make it clear, our differences with the wahabis and shia are not only on 'speculative things', they are on fundamentals of faith, i.e. zaruriyat e din. there may be speculative things that we differ on too but the divide is upon fundamentals.

i think it is irresponsible [i don't know if it was done advertantly] for a man to stand at an international conference and say such things. what kind of message does this give to the public? that sunni and shia only differ on minor things?

Some brothers, including myself formerly, have made a mockery of Sayyid Hasnayn Shah Sahib on blunders in his speeches. I would like to take the opportunity here to apologise and point out the following:

If you notice when he makes a slip of the tongue or a slip it is when he is being recorded on television. The obvious reason for the odd few slips is because talking to an audience is different to talking to a camera.

Sayyid Hasnayn Shah has good speeches as well. Here is one which i liked and think was inspiring:

He also has reasonable lectures which he delivered which i think was the way these issues should have been dealt with from the onset.

One final point is that he is a Sayyid, and we should be careful in future not to insult when we disagree with a Sayyid.
