:s1: I am saddened to relay the tragic news of the murder of Allama Bashir Ahmad Siyalvi sahib in Pakistan by gunmen. He was one of the most learned and humble scholars of Ahlus Sunnah in the UK although of Pakistani origin. A very learned man he was extremely well read and very strict on the Sunnah. I met him a couple of times and also studied with his son who was in my Farsi class. May Allah give him the highest paradise. ameen. Inna lillaha wa inna ilayhi raaji'oon.
