I actually don't know myself; I really just shared this trusting that our aimma/ulama would know the source. Something that did confuse me was that I've usually seen the Prophet ﷺ described as being of medium height; i.e. neither tall nor short, "but towards the tall ones closer." And of course he ﷺ appeared taller than those who were taller than him ﷺ, but that is more on the miraculous side of things I believe. So in what sense is medium height meant in this context? Especially because I think 185-190 cm is considered relatively tall nowadays. And then how tall would a Sahabi like Hazrat Umar (rd) be if he is described as "very tall"? Sidi @abu Hasan and other people of knowledge, can anyone help us out a little?
subhanAllah. is the 185 - 190cm an estimate? Is this in any hadith collections or is this from later commentators of the Shamail.
