The name of sayyiduna Jibraeel alayhissalaam in Hebrew is גבריאל which means 'the mighty one of God'. Allah says regarding him in the Quran 53:5- عَلَّمَهُۥ شَدِيدُ ٱلْقُوَىٰ ٥ He has been taught by one ˹angel˺ of mighty power — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran Meaning the verse seems to allude to the meaning of his name. There are other such examples in the Quran. The Hebrew name of sayyiduna Ishaaq is יִצְחָק which means 'to laugh'. The Quran says (11:71): وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ قَآئِمَةٌۭ فَضَحِكَتْ فَبَشَّرْنَـٰهَا بِإِسْحَـٰقَ وَمِن وَرَآءِ إِسْحَـٰقَ يَعْقُوبَ ٧١ And his wife was standing by, so she laughed, then We gave her good news of ˹the birth of˺ Isaac, and, after him, Jacob. — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran
