Salam-e-Masnoon. Please use this thread to share your views on world events. Not discrete events (which have their own threads) but rather to discuss the overarching question as to where these events are leading. Is there a single compelling narrative which can account for all of these 'developments' happening across the world? And when I use the word, 'development', I mean as many and as unrelated, spatially and temporally separated, happenings you can think of. Can they be merged into a single, linear chronicle? Please make sure that you highlight specific events upon which your theory/narrative/world-view draws. Do link to blogs, websites, bayaans, articles, ahaadith and ayahs which have led you to it. I would really like to know what thinking, conscientious and vigilant sunnis think. If you can get opinions from sunni ulema you are in touch with, all the better. Does this chaos betray an orderly march to some definite climax? Needless to say, I do have my own theories but I would really appreciate inputs from fellow sunnis. wassalaam
