i was at the bukhari lessons in birmingham and prof dr tahir ul qadri said that there is a hadith which says if Allah wishes good for someone He gives them knowledge of fiqh and understanding of deen. and then the hadith continues innama ana qasimun wa'llahu yu'ti prof sahib said that this means that whatever good Allah wills for anyone, it is Rasulullah sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam that distributes it. inshaAllah will add more hadith commentary when i get time.
