clearly he says that he bears witness that there is no god.

now any apologist of ghamdi - or the man himself - may try to explain this as: "illa Allah" is understood.

and isn't the entire modus operandi of the ghamadi fitnah is that - take literal interpretations and spin on the current understanding of the written word.

a mawlana sent me books of javed ghamdi. and one of these is his diwan - khayal o khama (thoughts and pen), which is probably a typo because javed ghamdi's output is a product of khaam khayali (ignorant, half-baked, severely misinformed).

obviously, when he is so deluded that he thinks he can top the muhaddithin and mufassirin who were native arabs, what stops him from the delusion that he can write like iqbal?

absolute stupid poetry - i read poetry in six languages, and have read critical appreciation of poetry in as many languages; though not as hollow, but ghamdi's poetry can give a run for vogon's money.

khayr, the khaam khayal says in his first doggerel:

i bear witness there is no god.

the stability of my song: i bear witness there is no god
the life of the heart and sight: i bear witness there is no god
the world is new, but i still sing:
after breaking laat and manaat: i bear witness there is no god

the glory of faghfur and kay - the empires of rome and persia
death is; and the the procession: i bear witness there is no god

if you are a muslim, then the waves are all from the same sea:
tigris, nile, euphrates: i bear witness there is no god

then the adhaan of morning - which is searching for that:
the night of your place of rest: i bear witness there is no god

the magic of knowledge and skill - the force of love, and its madness
the salvation of the slave of truth: i bear witness there is no god

the medicine for the pain, the pleasure of the age
sweetness in the bitterness of sorrow: i bear witness there is no god

    [nabaat= sugar, sweet]
