Here in the UK, you don't have masjids everywhere. Areas where there aren't many Muslims don't have masjids. I strongly advise Muslims against raising kids in such areas. They turn out to know little about Islam and start questioning things. To protect your kids' faith, live near the masjid and ensure they become part of it. Having only or mostly kafir friends is often catastrophic. You might move away from, let's say, inner city areas for a "better" atmosphere but could end up regretting it.
