  1. One of my schoolmates, had a red book about freemasons, which said that these handshakes were used as a secret sign by freemasons to recognise each other. These handshakes differed as ranks too, with the type of handshakes differing with the rank of the person inside the Freemasonic groups.

For more info see this link

    http://www.ephesians5-11.org/handshakes.htm

There are many other links too. for more info type in "freemasons handshakes" and u will get more info.

Freemasons are generally associated with evil-doing.

Can't beat the andaaz of Syedi Ameer-e-ahle sunnat. Not seen a more humble personality in this day and age, true mujadid and wali of this era May Allah preserve him.

I was watching madani channel yesterday in which Sheikh-e-Tareeqat, Ameer-e-Ahle-Sunnat Hazrat Allama Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadiri (Damat Barakatuhum Aaliya) was making that sign with their hands and the Students, Teachers, Nazims of Jamia-tul-Madina were also doing that sign then Nigran-e-Shura Haji Muhammad Imran Attari (salama hul Bari) asked Hazrat Ameer-e-Ahle-Sunnat to explain what it means, Hazrat Sahib said "It is a sign that Khasoosi Islami bhai (Deaf and Dumb) use to express love."

  6. It's really nice to see these initiatives being taken. May Allah reward them for their sincerity, Allahumma Amin, Ya Rabb! The gaze of Allah is with people's intentions and actions. The envious gaze of creation only pertains to the latter while the former determines its validity!

Kitaba are doing some good work for blind people too. You will soon see the Nasaih ad-Diniyyah of Imam al-Haddad being translated there, including braille formats, I believe.

    Agreed with Sohaib bro.

The sign in question was not the only sign that Ameer Ahle Sunnat has used, and also every sign that he used he explained what the sign meant. The use of sign language in his bayan was his personal communication with the hundreds of deaf and mute Islamic brothers who were present. The sign in question is actually with the 2 middle fingers bent, the small finger, index finger and thumb straight, this sign means muhabat (love). Alhamdulillah, the use of sign language is to communicate with the deaf and mute Islamic brothers, whom DI calls khususi (special) Islamic brothers. MashaAllah! :)

I know a colleague who may be able to get the video clip.....insha'Allah will post once I have it.

    Asalaamualaikum

i have seen Ameer e Ahlesunnat use this hand gesture before.

please understand that sign language in pakistan is different to UK etc. they have different ways and meanings.

the 'horn' sign which you are referring to means Muhabbat (love) in pakistan sign language. -

i may be wrong, if i am wrong please correct me - but i do remember watching a video and they did explain what it meant. unfortunately i cant find it anymore.

I should describe the gesture InshaAllah. During the recitation of a Naat Paak Pir Sahib were waving both arms in the air side to side. Their hands were shaped in the 'sign of the horns' (type this into wikipedia). I mentioned the deaf brother as a side not (seperate point).

Dawat-e-Islami also has a 30 day course to learn Sign language. There is also a book "Goonga Mubaligh" which is available on www.dawateislami.net and also maktaba tul madina stalls across UK. Which narrates when Ameer-e-Ahle-Sunnat started this work, the majlis is called Majlis Baray Khasoosi Islami bhai.

SubhanAllah if you ever watch the childrens programs on Madani Channel, there is a small madani munnah (four years old) who is very fluent in sign language, a few days ago it was mentioned on Madani channel that he gave a non muslim lady the invitation to Islam and she became a Muslim.

he is the one in the middle, you can see him using sign language

another video of madani munnay and sign language

Maybe they were using sign language? sign language is quite popular these days within dawat-e-islami. Dawat-e-Islami is very active within deaf and blind people.

I was watching Madni Channel yesterday (Sunday 25th Feb about Maghrib time) and noticed Ameer e Ahle Sunnat and brothers in the gathering using a hand sign similar to 'the sign of the horns' . The sign of the horns is well known amongst conspiracy theorists and has a few different versions and some may have innocent meanings. We are familiar with the use of the gesture in western music as well as by leading politicians such as George Bush.

I was surprised to see this and was curious to know the facts about this gesture. Knowing how great the personality of Ameer e Ahle Sunnat is I can only assume that there is an innocent explanation for this.

I can picture the non sunni using this as propaganda in a form of a video (youtube) montage showing leading personalities as well as Pir Sahib and their followers using the 'hand sign'.

Did anyone else notice this? By the way during the same Mehfil the Deaf brother (who may have been blind) recited a Naat in his own way. MashaAllah it was moving.

    Salam
