Update "Maulana Hazarvi laid to rest Published: April 25, 2010 WAZIRABAD - Maulana Mufti Abdul Shakoor Hazarvi, religious scholar, spiritual leader and Manager of Jamia Nizamia Ghousia was laid to rest in Meharabad Sharif near the grave of Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hazarvi here. He was son of Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Hazarvi and brother of Mohammad Tariq Hazarvi. Mohammad Asif Hazarvi led Namaz-e-Janaza of his father in which Ulema, Mashaikh and people from all walks of life participated. Syed Najamuddin and Syed Alauddin of Golra Sharif laid his body to rest. Heavy contingents of police were present for security purpose while schools, offices, trade centres and markets remained closed, mourning the demise of Maulana Hazarvi. Update 'Allamah Pir Sayyid 'Abdul Qadir Shah Jilani was requested to lead the janazah prayers in Pakistan however he could not make it due to the current flights crisis. He mentioned this in his weekly jum'ah khutbah [23-04-2010] here [4:00 onwards].
