namaz is makruh tahrimi behind a heretic who has not crossed the boundary of kufr. that is, any heretic who is not deemed kafir. in case of jumu'ah, if it is not possible to find another place to pray, one should pray behind the heretic [who has not crossed kufr] and repeat zuhr afterward. Allah ta'ala knows best.
I stand corrected on the word "invalidated" - it is the Saff that has become "munqata" - which is haraam; and those who have the ability to prevent a bud-mazhab from coming in, should do so or else they will be sinning. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I did not make (or even hint at) blanket takfir of every heretic. nevertheless, the Salaah is definitely invalid against heretics of any "shade of grey"; even Jum'ah / Eid (for which Jama'ah is compulsory) is disallowed. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and purposely making a known murtadd an Imam, is Kufr. Please listen to Allama Mufti Akhtar Raza's answer in THIS CLIP It is therefore a huge blunder, and definitely endangering your Imaan; for you cannot open the known Deobandi's heart to see if he is a murtadd or still has some faith left. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
No it wouldn't. If the person has heretical beliefs then it would be considered a gap in the row, not invalidate the prayer. Secondly, there are too many shades of grey amongst Deobandis and Shia in order to blanket takfir of the entire group. We would have to be very specific with these groups as not everyone who is labeled a Shia or Deobandi will necessarily hold unbelief.
That 'Salah' must have taken place after/before the meeting held last week or so with PM Nawaz Sharif and scholars. http://www.dawn.com/news/1205572 Perhaps he just did the actions of salah behind the non sunni imam without the actual intention of salah.
Can you please elaborate more on this? What if the guy praying next to you was a deobandi and one didn't know of it? It is quite common for deobandis praying in Sunni masajid as well (in spite of their accusations) and in today's times quite difficult to know of the aquida of the person praying next to you. Of course we can keep signs for them to stay out but that still won't keep all of them out!
Just having a deobandi or a shia within the saff will also invalidate the prayer. and making a heretic an Imaam is endangering your own Iman.
I saw a program on QTv a couple of weeks ago, I think it was the 'urs of Shah Ahmad Noorani (raHimahullah) and he was speaking about the legacy of shah sahab. He made some statements which bothered me.It appears that my fears were not idle (provided the photo is unedited and it is indeed a deobandi leading the prayer). And Allah ta'ala knows best.
That's what came to mind when I first saw this picture. Benazir Picture on the wall behind looking over them.
The mufti e Azam of Pakistan reading Namaz behind Molvi hanif deobandi, where are the Maulana Shah ahmed Noroonis of this day and age who used to lead the salah not pray behind he deviants.
