If a deobandi visits my house do I automatically become midguided. We should be congratulating the Shaykh in attracting them rather than rebuking him.

How else are we meant to reconcile for the betterment of our society, how do we start even thinking of resolving our differences?

There is a distinct lack of our scholars actually reaching out to others in fear that they'll be labelled all sorts. Remember one of the most important job of a scholar is to correct and bring people in line.

I would seriously urge all users to show some restraint in labelling someone misguided or anything similar. Slandering individuals on the basis of hearsay is an evil crime one should try and avoid at all costs.

We need to be clear on what causes an individual to leave the fold of Islam or become misguided.

Just because someone writes a Salawat a deo maybe does not make him or her a Ahle Sunnah. The problem with this sister almiskeenah is she is a revert and like Hamza Yusuf is Sulla e Kulli. If people want to know her opinion on the deo's?tablighi then they should contact her on her site.

Muhammad Sadiq al Alawi conducts explicit mawlids with kellerites and with deobandi wahhabis as hosts. It happened just recentlly too. All the imkan al kidhb people. English and Urdu speakers. May Allah ta'ala destroy this kidhbi fitna.

I also know a close murid of Shaykh Sadiq, and have heard some of his durus in urdu. He is a 'kattar' sunni through and through. May Allah protect him.

 

You should write biographies of people, and who they know. Perhaps you even know what colour underwear they have, and where they go to eat.

I attended a mawlid with Shaykh Sadiq al Alawi last weekend and he mentioned 10 unique attributes of RasulAllahu SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam.

He said that if you write them on a piece of paper and put them up in your house it will safeguard your home from calamities, theft, fire and jinn.

With the help of a kind soul who helped transcribe the urdu talk they are summarised below:

1. The clothes of the Prophet SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam were never soiled/dirtied

2. The Prophet SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam never yawned.

3. No one saw the excrement of the Beloved SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam as the earth consumed it but only smelt a sweet fragrance.

4. Flies never alighted on the blessed clothing of the Beloved SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam

5. The Prophet SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam never had nocturnal emission

6. When the Beloved SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam mounted on animals they never urinated, defecated and remained still. When the animal travelled with the Prophet SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam, it moved with reverence and respect.

7. In every action and statement of the Prophet SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam there is a secret and wisdom in it. There are zaahirI (outer) secrets to it and baatinI (inner) secrets to it understood by the Ulama and Awliya.

8. The Prophet SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam was born circumcised.

9. The Prophets SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam eyes would close but his pure heart remained awake.

10. The Prophet SalAllahu Alaihi Wasallam used to see behind him as he used to see in front of him

yes i know all mureeds are not perfect representatives of their Shaykh - which is why I reserved judgement until I knew more about the Shaykh himself.

I, for one, know of a close sayyid murid of his who has studied Arabic and the Islamic sciences in quite some depth. He translated the wasiyyah of Imam al-Haddad in which there is clear instruction to follow the shari'ah, and to seek knowledge.

 

The Shaykh is a Sunni Sayyid. I know a close student of the Shaykh who is an inspirational Sunni. Al Hamdulillah.

 

I too would like some information about the Shaykh, I could not find anything on the internet about him.

A few followers of his reside in the same city as me, and they preach that all you need is "Love" to progress, show love to everyone. and also say about deobandis and wahabbis that hate the act, not the person, show love to the person. and they also lower the status of Knowledge and Ulama, saying 'ilm is not necessary but love is.

Also they keep on repeating two categories - the people of Allah, and the Ulama and how they are separate- however, if the Ulama are not the people of Allah, then who is?

one of the guys also was teaching/preaching to a group of youths that "one shaykh said to another shaykh" that it is possible for Imam Muslim to have made "slips" in narrating Hadith, regarding the Hadith about the Opening of the Blessed Chest of the Prophet sallAllahu alayhi wa sallam.

they say this is taught to them by their Shaykh [except for last paragraph above], hence I am asking for more information about the Shaykh.

Alhamdulillah. I am no lion, rather a nobody or an 'internet faqir' as you put it but I realise that I've wasted enough time - i'm through with replying to you and kattarprat and cheerleaders on this forum.

 

Even if we agree to what you're saying (and there's no way for us to verify, because they're 'sly' and not mentioned here), what about the Rafidah students of the Ahl al-Bayt? Does that somehow decrease the status of the a'immat al-aal? At least use the title 'Shaykh' for the Shaykh. Do you know for certain that he is not a sunni? What proof do you have? astaghfiru Llah.
