as the list of attendees posted by wadood shows a lot of famous Sunni pirs/ulama have no problem in attending anything if it gets them on TV and in the public eye even though their channels were set up to refute those they share a stage with!--as Warhol said, 'five minutes of fame'--so why should we spend so much time and energy? I've had enough!

and as my pir sahib hazrat ameer e ahle sunnat does just work on yourself and preach the correct aqidah and leave it at that.

Allah knows best brother but I, for one, have had enough of this intra-Sunni fighting. My views are the same as Sayyid Irfan Shah sahib's in terms of aqidah and where the two differ I always support Irfan Shah sahib's POV but whilst we keep on fighting each other lots and lots of people are laughing at us --like deobandis, modernists, wahabis etc. --and more worryingly it puts most young Muslims in the UK off subcontinental scholars for life and they turn to sullah kullis etc or get off Islam for good and become completely irreligious.

We've been having this argument with the other side for a few years now and tell me, seriously, despite all the videos and countervideos has it made any one person from either side go to the opposite side?!

I think we should from now on concentrate on just preaching the correct aqidah, without compromise, but not turn it into an anti-anyone rant.

This is the Bajan show and mix zikar etc. This is all I watched and recorded. His speech will be on soon anyway, his followers will add it. I feel they would of missed out the Bajans part lol.

As for Pir Abdul Qadir he did go and I heard he had only 10 minutes. His mureeds are moaning on facebook that they didn't respect him well enough. Not one mureed has mentioned that the Pir didn't like Hindus or Sikhs their. Pir Abdul Qadir's right hand Molvi in the UK, Syed Hussain Tirmizi was their till the end. Lets stop thinking that he left because of the Mushrikeen their, he left because he had less time and had not been respected well enough by them.

After they united Molvi Nisar Baig was told about Dr Tahir ul Qadri Sahibs views on christians that he said they are believers. Molvi Baig defended him and even defended Dr Tahir ul Qadri inviting them to pray in his mosques.

Pir Abdul Qadir is not a sunni and does not deserve any respect. If he can insult Sahaba and Awliyah, why shall we respect him? Just because of a few speeches he did? Most of them are full of blunders anyway.

speaking of Pir Sayyid Abdul Qadir Shah sahib, despite our differences over tafdil being ijma or jumhoor, and a few other things, i just came across this website for the first time

and going through the list of lectures (i haven't listened to any yet but have heard a few of them before) it is obvious that shah sahib is a sunni just by most of the titles and it made me think that what we have in common is so much greater than what our differences are and well can't we all get along again? maybe i am getting soft in my old age! if shah sahib has erred a few times--it is only human and only prophets are infallible--can we not say, shah ji we don't agree with your opinion in this particular matter but you are still a sunni buzurg and a sayyid and we respect you?. i think the fall-out between sunnis is more to do with overzealous murids (from either side) and the buzurgs being human have got caught in it. i personally feel more comfortable with this approach when it comes to shah sahib as i think it will be more beneficial. (not TuQ mind you just shah sahib). this is because of the immense work he has done in the past for sunniyat. i remember the rushdie affair -- i was a teen then--but shah sahib was the leader of the ahle sunnat in the UK on that day. when he came to our mosque soon after we were so proud. everyone rushed to kiss his hand and when he did a speech it was amazing.

anyway where shah sahib differs with other sunni ulama on some issues, i still agree with the other point of view but --although i have never personally disrespected shah sahib - i am taking this opportunity to apologise to any of his murids or admirers who read this and wish we can work to bring all sunni sayyid buzurgs in the UK together again. i am banned from a certain forum otherwise i would also put this on there. i do think though that shah sahib should not mix with tahir ul qadri and his group.
I remember Shah Sahib's famous naara, "Sunni! TU theek hai!"

i agree with ottomanhanafi. this kind of thing gives real sunnis a bad name.
on a more serious note isn't it kufr for a muslim to participate in a ceremony which involves praying to other "gods" at the same time in a collective prayer?
i am not doing takfir of TuQ but just enquiring from a learned brother, someone like AH. after all, how is participating in this kind of event any different from the multifaith FUREC (which led to controversy in india amongst sunnis).

after all, didn't the pagan Arabs say to Huzoor Paak that we will believe in what you believe if you just add the name of the two goddesses along with Allah and do not criticise them?

perhaps Shah Sahib left when he saw the whole mixed interfaith chanting mantra going on and realised that this was completely haram? after all, not too long ago --before our current differences with him--Shah Sahib was famous for being extremely strict with aqeedah deviants (ghair Sunnis) to the extent of not even shaking their hand if they extended it. After all, he is a sayyid and we should perhaps give him the benefit of the doubt.

As for TuQ though, he is shameless and a sell-out. man, why else would all the neocons and other politicians be supporting him and his ilk if he wasn't bent and in their pay?

Has anyone recorded Pir Abdul Qadir being their? I did not see him when I put it on. I started watching late.

I watched the Bajan Show though and the mix hindu,sikh,christian,buddhist and muslim zikar.

this really is sickening and he is only serving to disgrace the name of the ahl us Sunnah because as much as we disown him he still claims te be a sunni. i think the 'ulama need to address issues this conference raises such as mushrikeen doing their worship, etc.

I think another facet of this event is it only goes to support the view of non-sunnis that sufis are government stooges. I say this because despite being an "anti terror" event not once have they had the guts to raise the plight of the palestinians and other acts of brutality that muslims globally are being subjected to by the zionist supporting regimes of the west.

They speak as if 9/11 was the first act of terror the world witnessed. They're just a bunch of attention seeking sell outs in my opinion.
