can you please point out those opinions?

you are seeing things. Perhaps you have a soft corner for him or maybe you are pals, maybe that's why this feels like 'hysteria'.

What were you doing when he was abusing 'yardies' in that beard-thread and that stupid wise crack about 'barelvis killing imam zufar' and calling members here 'khawarij' and other things written in this post?

you call abusing people 'really strong viewpoints', eh?

respect needs to be earned. people may respect you just out of human decency but once you begin taking them for granted and treat a public forum as a personal hate mail order you must not expect that respect to continue for much longer.

personally, I have given him up for a troll. He needs to learn manners if he expects to be taken seriously.

Fair point. But I guess it just seemed to me that most people were rankled more by his opinions (which probably go against the narrative that is largely championed on this forum), rather than how he chose to air them. Maybe the two things were (wittingly or unwittingly) conflated when addressing him, and thus played a part in the hysteria that unfolded. Allāh knows best.

Let's be honest: he has been known to have some really strong viewpoints on certain issues, and so naturally that was bound to ruffle a few feathers. While I don't condone vulgarity or inclemence of any kind, we all tend to be resolute in the things we believe strongly in, and that is something that not only needs to be respected, but also addressed respectfully.

In any case, I think we're both toeing more or less the same line here.

And Allāh and His Messenger know best.

    self contradicting.

we have decided that we will tackle with personal insults seriously. members are allowed to discuss, share their thoughts, present there arguments but no personal attacks. we have been editing and deleting posts and we have the right to do so.

having said that there will be some exceptions too, for example if someone proves himself an idiot time and again, merely trolling the forums, or more often spews insults or jibes at other members then we may leave comments he deserves from other members unedited. members also need to differentiate between making personal attacks and exposing the ignorance, we may edit or delete or leave untouched some harsh remarks in posts exposing heresy. lastly, some personal attacks my go unnoticed by mods or admins, because we do not read every single thread or post. members should report personal attacks so that we can check and take appropriate action.

Not exactly sure what Abu Hamza has said that has elicited such a fulminating reaction from the hoi polloi, but that aside, the level of insults exchanged here have no place in any discussion, let alone an 'Ilmi one.

the best advice comes from the Holy Qur'an, so people must refrain:-

    Surah Bani Israel: Ayah 57
And tell My bondmen to speak that which is the best; undoubtedly Satan sows discord among them; indeed Satan is man’s open enemy.

    Surah Ahzaab: Ayah 70
    يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَقُولُوا قَوْلًا سَدِيدًا
O People who Believe! Fear Allah, and speak rightly.

Many more can be provided, but the above should suffice for believers, to think before they utter or write.

i appreciate that you are not a fan of padri, and i have nothing to add except that as long as you present your views without personal attacks then we don't have any issue, otherwise as a moderator we have the right to take action whether you like it or not or label it as double standard.

The amount of accusations that you have hurled against me compels me to question your competence as a moderator, take this as sincere advice from a brother (and not a personal attack) but you lack basic comprehension skills, a neutral brother who avidly reads the threads on this forum text me this earlier after he read the discussion, he wrote:

"I genuinely believe a lot of the so-called academics on there (i.e the forum) lack basic comprehension skills, I can't believe Aqib accused you of 'degrading the sacred of Jihad' - how he came to that conclusion is bamboozling and now they're completely misusing your post about Barelwis being the most despised people of earth. They totally haven't understood that post at all!!!"

Couldn't have explained it better myself, and yes, the citation was perhaps out of place

Subhan'Allah!! You seem to have picked up on my "personal attacks post" which came after a post riddled with personal jives....
Another case of double standards... The deen is sincerity my brother..

Lol, nowhere did i support padri so what gave you that idea? I am as anti-padri as anyone on this forum

i didn't see it otherwise a kick was the most appropriate response.

Notice to Abu H: if you are a fan of padri then you are not welcome here at all.

btw, sidi Aqib has translated Kanz-ul-Iman, and has written and translated other useful books including booklets refuting padri. Some have been published. Search the forum or the website ahlesunnat.biz.

So whoever thinks that he just posts on forums is mistaken.

perhaps many people did not see the words in #18 and #21 that were edited out by some moderator.

this is the second time that he has called a sunni 'khawarij' (I don't know if this time he meant me or sidi Aqib) and he also called him 'mal'oon'.

He also accused 'modern day barelvis' (by which he basically implies everyone who doesn't agree with him; see the recent beard thread) of something heinous. This was clearly meant to be a bait but unfortunately for him it got removed before anyone swallowed it.

Abu Hamza has been trolling the forum for sometime now. I request everyone to remember the golden rule,

I read all the posts, and I can see that he is sarcastic at you. I am no one to issue a sharia'ah ruling, but apparently he is just unfairly mocking at you. yes he has used very bad example and quite disgusting, but only his admittance or rejection of your claim will apply a ruling by a mufti.

apart from his personal attack i found it the most disgusting that he said
but he also qualified it with "modern day barelvi" to make an escape.

my point was that, regardless whether you have any remorse or not, your remarks would certainly provoke more foul language. he already has got a warning, and if he continues with this same attitude then he'll get a kick.

AbdalQadir time to move along! will check pm's.

    brother Aqib,

abu Hamza's post #6 was an out of place citation - as correct narration of ahadith concerns all of us, more so when the incorrect narration in this specific instance has been abused by dajjal tahir to further his kufriya agenda.

your reply in #7 was very apt

then you guys had some exchanges post #9 onward. i'm not playing referee or taking sides or getting involved in the fight here, but i think you should fight fairly.

from my reading of the thread, the only thing abu Hamza degraded was what according to him is your 'keyboard warrior' attitude, and not the sacred duty of jihad. it is disingenuous of you to suggest so and make a case of degradation of sacred duties or something out of it.

if it was me in your place, the maximum i can say is that abu Hamza's post #13 is a sarcastic jab at me. i would have further added that abu Hamza doesn't seem to think that posting content on the forum or the net is a part of jihad bil lisan, at least by commoners like us. it isn't very clear from the thread if he altogether denies jihad by the pen. i'm not speaking for abu Hamza or his mouthpiece, but i think his comment

in #19 seems to suggest that (in abu Hamza's opinion) posting on forums/net doesn't constitute the proper jihad by the pen that was done by Ala Hazrat and other scholars.

again, i'm not taking sides or getting involved in the feud, but personally i found it shocking that you'd lay a charge of 'degradation of the sacred duty of jihad' because of it.

    Allahu a3lam.

Brother Noori: read the posts in chronological order please.

My posts are respectful, and my response was to Abu Hamza was ONLY when he came up with the brilliant idea of "Jihad" in the "Bedroom".

It would be of academic interest to all of us to know, what is the Hukm of Shariah on Abu Hamza for degrading the sacred duty of Jihad, by relating it to the activities in the Bedroom.

In light of the above, I have absolutely no remorse in calling him what I did: what would you call him?

okay, then you shouldn't waste your time here and get lost, it is a pure barailvi (true ahlussunah wa'l jamah in the subcontinent) forum. if you want to present your point of view then you are welcome but you need to abstain from personal attacks and bad language. this is first and last warning to you.
