Salam alayjum. Qari Sahib rahimullah for a brief period was my Tajweed teacher when my actual teacher went for Hajj. Qari Sahib rahimullah is the reason I am Sunni. His one line changed how i thought about Shaykh Thanvi's statement in Hifz ul- Iman and on the same day I say bye to Deobandism. What got me into Deobandism was Shaykh Masood Azhar and Shaykh Haq Nawaz Jhangvi. He was purely into Deen for Deen sake and for brief period he was Masjid Imam but when he encountered Chanda thieves n politics community voting to who has right to steal Derby Jamia Masjid Chanda (£250.00 last i heard earned you right to vote mostly, paid by wana be committee members all you had to do was vote for him) Qari Sahib rahimullah left the Imamat seeing that his name will be dragged in mud by paindus committee members and people whose credentials were, life long sharabi n zaani, after mid 50's suddenly grew beard and read namaz. When he met these folk he said Allah Hafiz. May Allah subahanahu wa ta'ala reward him for khayr and forgive his sins n mistakes. Ameen
