I guess you did not know that you were listening to a person who has openly sung perennialist songs

These musical instruments are haraam. period.

  2. I don't endorse Nusrat's beliefs and I condemn perrenialism to the core (and thus, that is something I actually was unaware of). As for the insturments, there are Ulema of Ahle Sunnat who allow qawwali like Ustad ul-Ulema Allama Ata Muhammad Bindyalawi (rahmatullahi alaih) and Ghazali al-Zaman Allama Sayyid Ahmad Saeed Kazmi alayhi rahmah. Does that answer your question, Wadood?

There are haraam musical instruments being used in this qawali unfortunately. What kind of a ridawi are you?

And do you know that Nusrat was a proponent of perennialism? AbdalQadir will have a high time if he could get hold of nusrat's qawwalis sung in front of sikhs

  4. mashAllah--i personally do listen to qawwali and this is one of my favorites. one of my close friends is a murid of the late hazrat pir sayyid naseerudeen naseer marhoom alayhi rahmah<input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden"><input id="gwProxy" type="hidden"><!--Session data--><input onclick="jsCall();" id="jsProxy" type="hidden">

I dont know much about classical Hindustani music but I think the tune used in this
is the famous raag pahadi. (this is a naat with no music)
