Please state clearly what needs to be considered.

I understand there is a difference of opinion regarding video/TV but even Sayyid Madani Miya only allowed video for purposes of Tableegh. This is a very important point which is overlooked when talking about the two conflicting stances.

    Many things to be considered.

UFC boxing etc is not as popular as say football in the UK

Even if you do watch it, I don't think it's very clever openly saying you do when there's a high chance it's a sin.

What is the rule on watching females performing Olympic sports where they just about cover their torsos?

In boxing and UFC, the Satr e Awrat is never covered. When the ruling for covering the Satr e Awrat is so strict that a person should not even unnecessarily uncover such parts even when he is on his own!

    Asalam wa alaykum

Recently I have noticed a big issue amongst our youth that they may be extremely practicing and have a high level of Islamic understanding and known to refute the wobbler sects and all of the other gumrahi sects however love watching things like boxing and UFC and promote it.

    1) What is the ruling on watching boxing and UFC?
    2) If it is disallowed and a Muslim promotes it publicly, would he need to make publicly tawba?

    Jazakallah
