Sir Syed University in Pakistan is an Engineering College. It is also affiliated with its counterpart in Aligarh, UP. This Pakistani college seems more of an educational institute with nationalistic tendencies on the periphery; they also depict Allama Iqbal next to Sir Syed. I believe I can safely say, that most likely, the vast majority of the students studying there are Sunnis. I have noticed that generally, secular educated Pakistanis are fond of Sir Syed, however, religiously most of these Pakistanis are nominally Sunni on the outside, unaware of Sir Syed's religious views, and engage in popular Subcontinental Sunni activities as Milads and Urs. 99% of them have respect and love for Imam Ahmed RiDa at the same time. These are just my observations looking at migrated pakistanis in the west.
i dont think you realise the irony in this brother. sir syed was a nechari whom ala hazrat detested and about him said, "voh khabis murtad tha (that wretch was an apostate)" and yet you´re promoting an article about ala hazrat´s alleged scientific work from a university linked to a man he considered an apostate!
