it is a majority ahl al-sunna position that the ayah tatheer was revealed for panjtan paak. the azwaj are of course from ahl al-bayt but jamhur of ahl al-sunna consider that verse of tatheer was revealed for panjtan paak. though, there are also ahl al-sunna that conisder it was revealed for both but that is a minority opinion.

I remember Shah Sahib said to Mufti Zahid Hussain Rizvi that because you are so old now you haven't got a clue what your saying. In this clip Mufti Zahid Hussain Rizvi says Ayat-e-Kisa, Shah Sahib said its not Ayat-e-Kisa its called Hadith-e-Kisa!
