i think that's pretty much the case with a lot of "intellectuals" who think that just because they have mastered one science/discipline, they have mastered islam too - even if like this guy, they are pretentiously against the empire. (guess that was the case with iqbal too to an extent, but don't hold it to me. i'm not an iqbal enthusiast, so in reality my opinion means nothing for or against)
This is a TRULY OUTRAGEOUS article. His arrogance at his own 'ingenuity/insight' is mind-numbing. As is his take on Taseer. Zahir Ebrahim seems to have lost it.
