maybe people with 13-20yr old kids/siblings can comment on what's their medium of choice in social media and/or religious content on cyberspace

i feel even facebook and twitter will be a fad from the past for current 5-15 yr olds, they seem not to appreciate them all that much - but this is just my anecdotal observation and i'm a bizarre person with a very small and bizarre social network (real life one)

    not really

the thing with twitter is - there is nothing with it, other than somehow being more intel agency friendly than irc, paltalk, icq et al. mediums that are extant to this day (was a shocking discovery to me that people still use this stuff!)

back in the day, tv channels used to be government controlled, with every country having a national tv channel orchestrating its propaganda activities - these days, as we all know, that's pretty much the case with social media being centralized - who even veers outside of the popular social media platforms of twitter, facebook, snapchat, instagram, tiktok, and linkedin. and yeah, youtube has made an overnight "shaykh", "public" speaker, and movie star out of anyone you can think of.

nothing beats properly detailed and comprehensive content; on cyberspace, i don't think anything beats actual content-rich websites, or videos on youtube by proper ulama. anything else is just superfluous.

true, we need to always reach out to the youf (15-30 yr olds) through some or all of these useless channels, a bitter pill we all need to swallow for their sake, but we need some unbiased data and metrics on how many of the current crop of teenagers use this stuff, so we can try to cater to this group for the next 10-15 yrs. for example, even daniel haqiqatjou's fanbase on telegram, twitter etc. seem to be seasoned players of cyberspace aged 25+ (my understanding)

You can also find "Muawiyah Rasoolallah" in tarikh ibn kathir, but no sunni ever used that to say wahabis have opened the door to qadiyanis, although the Plumber from Jhelum may decide to club them with qadiyani promoters for that.

Barelvis are the biggest defenders of khatm e nabuwwat- it doesn't take a genius to know that. Nanotavi was declared an apostate over this point, but deos defend him to this day while qadiyanis continue to use Naotavi's Tahzirunnas to defend Mirza. I hardly see any wahabi objecting to tahzirunnas of the deos, choosing instead to focus their efforts on issues like "error" of taqleed among deobandis( shows where their priorities lie).

You can not pick and choose some random quotes from "barelvi" books to build a case against sunnis, especially when we have been absolutely clear on our beliefs. I recommend the wahabi to listen to what the sunni ulema have said about such writings.

After less than month on Twitter, I already feel disenchanted with the UX.

My main grouse is that there is no easy way to track any piece of information for long or navigate to it in a reliable way beyond a few days. It's the "infinite scroll of doom" - by design.

It feels like a fish-market where everyone is talking all at once, over each other, on a different subject, and no one is listening. Like a big swelling sea, coversations get submerged under the next wave of tweets which gets buried the next hour. The "outdated" window is too short. I can keep raising the same objection every month and you have to keep replying. Everything is old within hours (your well--researched replies) and everything is new after a few days (my stupid off-the-cuff ignorant remarks).

It's purposefully amnesiac design looks like built to keep people hooked, and on their toes.

Besides the other obvious flaw - you don't know if you are speaking to a real human or a bot. Is this guy a troll from some sponsored farm or is it just your normal knuckle-head with a loud mouth, bored with his job or unemployed, and too lazy for a real hobby to while away his dreary days.

It can make entire armies of ignoramuses or idiots feel self-important - and hence keep coming back for the kick.

Hence the question - does it even matter?

It is not necessary for mawlana to personally answer every tweet over again. As said in the beginning of the thread - people should make use of his published works.

Deobandits have been rehashing the same centuries old arguments (dating to the rotten mu'tazili times in fact) with little to no changes in wording. Most arguments on this subject have been replied to in TKM and TAL.

So go ahead and help yerselves.

I'd recommend brothers to follow the twitter handle 'IbneKhan01" - and tag him if you find any tweets that need quick refutations. It is a very active account (usually has 6-8 tweets per day - at least). Gives informative and balanced replies - no filibustering.

Doing a wonderful job refuting deviants ماشاء الله.

Disclaimer: I don't know who runs that account nor its history. I ran into it in my recent foray into the ephemeral world of twitter and found it beneficial. Take your own call.

    ---
Other accounts that you can follow/tag (apart from @ridawipress and @Aqdas) - mawlana Mubeen Raza and Muhammad Danyal's.

And when you follow these accounts - you will notice other good sunni accounts in your suggestions - you can tag them too.

For example, one of the accounts recently posted a good thread on the issue of imkan kadhib - with plenty of quotes from classical scholars. Shadee Masry retweeted it.

    Conclusion:
My personal appraisal is that the Twitter scene is not all that desolate. There are many people holding the defences for the sunni side. May Allah ta'ala reward their efforts.

what exactly is he trying to say? that one tweet is not very clear. contextually, he should have said therefore it IS muhal.

and other than a bunch of to and fro's - what's his own clear contention in one line?

    السلام عليكم

This is one of the better known accounts on Twitter. The individual does a lot of refutations of Wahhabis and is now conversing with Sunni figures on the issue of kidhb.

the guy's a mardood fitnah monger

we're not responsible for any random clown who pens any rubbish only because he's taken the liberty to add Qadri to his name!

let him read up what his ulama have said of a similar blasphemous situation with ashraf ali; and let him read Ala Hazrat's Al-Jabal Al-Thanawi

yes - we should prioritize our targets as we don't want to give needless publicity to non-entities.

So look for the one-eyed kings among the blind - doesn't matter who they are or how they are perceived by the fawning gullible multitudes.

Professors, doctors, allamahs, grand shuyukh, adab police - whoever - we can fact check em all...

Mohammed Nawaz Corrections are always welcomed with appreciation

And there are other things that are attributed to this book but are not present in Bahisthi Zewar. Even Abu Layth made a response video on it, but now I can't find it. Maybe he deleted it. Also, many people attack Thanvi for saying there is space in Sharia that allows men to have a coition with a girl even if she doesn't have menstruation.

As brother said, Sunnis need to learn and do some research before they go and argue with a devbandi or a wahabi.

what is the issue here? it is the fault of the sunnis for not doing their research before jumping to the point finger at deobandis, not realising that this is a standard hanafi fiqh ruling. there are a few other cases like this too. sunnis ought to research and learn prior to attempting half-baked refutation that make us look like a bunch of amateur keyboard warriors.
