All Praise is due to Almighty Allah who is One, without any partner in Being and Attributes. Peace, Blessings and Salutations upon our Beloved Nabi who is the best example to us in every manner, and upon his Noble Companions and illustrious family, who imitated him in all aspects of their lives, teaching us the importance of following his pure way. Peace and blessings upon the Awliyah e Kamileen and Ulama e Deen who have taught us this way of righteousness, so that we may be examples to those after us; and to facilitate the protection of our Imaan and Deen, they have commanded us to abstain from the way of the unbelievers. Before you is the book entitled, ‘The Tie Fatwa’ which is the Shariah Ruling regarding the wearing of the tie, and was written in the early 1990’s by Huzoor Sayyidi Taajush Shariah Allama Mufti Mohammed Akhtar Raza Khan Qaadiri Azhari (Allah preserve him) under the name ‘Tie Fatwa’. Hazrat called me today and commanded that this book be re-published, as the use of the Tie has once again become very common and people are neglecting the reality behind the harm in wearing the neck-tie, as explained by the great jurists. This command of Hazrat was based on the requests of many people who wish for Muslims to realise the harmfulness in wearing the neck-tie. Alhamdu Lillah, Huzoor Sayyidi Taajush Shariah has presented a concise but academic, realistic and factual argument to prove that the use of the Tie is not permissible in the Shariah. Allah bless Sayyidi wa Murshidi with good health and long life, and afford us the honour of remaining his loyal devotees.
