Book Release : The Killer Mistake -A critique of Nuh Keller's "Iman, Kufr and Takfir"

Assalamu alaikum
Something that I have discussed with some local ulema. I am attaching the relevant scans here as well from Fatwa Fazul Rasool.
It would be great If Abu Hassan expands on this in his upcoming revised editon/version in sha Allah.

1) The Birth of a Prophet After Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم is Mustahil Aradi and NOT mustahil Dhati.
What this means is that Allah could have willed otherwise BUT since He has informed us of His Decree that Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم is the Last Prophets we know then that the birth of a Prophet after himصلى الله عليه وسلم WILL NEVER EVER be.

2) The Pardon of Kafir is Mustahil Aradi and NOT mustahil Dhati (according to the Asharis).
What this means is that Allah could have willed otherwise BUT since He has informed us of His Decree that mushrikeen will be in hellfire forever, we know the Pardon of a Kafir will NEVER EVER be.

3) Nazir of Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم is Mustahil Dhati.
What this means is that idea of his Equal is rationally absurd and intrinsically impossible.
1) Prophet Mohammad صلى الله عليه وسلم is the last of the Prophets (seal of Prophets).
2) To claim that there could be another Khatimul Ambiya (Seal of Prophets).
3) is rationally absurd. Because Affirmation of (2) would imply negation of (1). (This also entails KUFR)
4) This absurdity is similar to saying 2+2=5 or something is existent and NOT existent at the same time.

I have expanded a bit on this here as well.

Jazak Allah.

As-Salamu Alaykum,

Typo on page 48, near top:

"The 'nuance' that is ignored here is, mere denial is insufficient if it is proven that the person has uttered blasphemy or if he agrees that he has said such a thing. In which case, he will have expressely disavow such a thing and renew his faith. Strangely, Keller cites a concise Hanafi text, whereas Haytami's commentary accords more clarity."

Should be "In which case, he will have to expressly disavow such a thing and renew his faith." Also maybe the wording, "In this case..." would be preferred instead of "In which case..."

I haven't finished reading it but so far it has been an interesting and informative read. But one does wonder whether the Shaykh will consider publishing this and other Ridawi Press books. I recall there might have been one booklet available on Amazon, but it has long been out of stock.

What an excellent book!

Question- shouldn't this be translated into arabic? Considering how the arab scholars are unaware of the Deobandi fitnah. Or is there something of this nature already in existence in arabic? Due to it's clear and concise nature, it would surely be extremely useful to spread this amongst arab shuykuh as a warning with regards to the Deobandi group

I believe the contents page needs update- page numbers are out of sync from what I can see (just FYI for future editions)

any unbiased person who will read both IKT of keller and TKM of sidi Abu Hasan, as well as other previous responses, will easily realize what keller really is, those who think that he is infallible like prophets or they worship him will never dare to open the book.

i myself am an example of this. pre 2015, i was pro-keller and had accepted the widely-held belief (in the circles i was formerly associated with) that keller was a "confirmed Wali" of Allah. And then after I had read IKT and was exposed to his pseudo-ilm, I was initially impressed and convinced by his article. I had a negative perception of Ala Hazrat and believed the false belief that he was a "british agent."

Little did i know.

Eventually, someone introduced me to TKM after I was trying to talk this person out of hating deobandis. This person insisted i read TKM.
So I decided to read it.

By the time i was passed the first several pages, I was already convinced. The style of argument was very direct with pinpoint accuracy of quoting evidences and pointing out contradictions. And there was no double-speak, equivocating, nor verbal gymnastics. It was very clear and succint (unlike IKT which i realized later had all the aforementioned deficiencies).

الحمد لله
for Mawlana Abu Hasan and this work. This was the turning point which led me to fully leave deobandiyyat and recognize deobandis and their akabir for their true colors. (While reading TKM, i couldnt help it but send lanat upon the kafirs and their defenders). And it also led me on the path of appreciating Ala Hazrat and towards enlightenment.

Lastly, a question i have:

Does the fatwa of Hussam Al-Haramayn apply also regarding the English translation of the kufr statements from the original Urdu. As in, does it extend to those who participated in helping to write IKT (via translating the statements for the purpose of their defense-Faraz, Karamali, defending them directly- Keller, etc)? At the very least, they would come under "man shakka fi kufrihim wa adhabihim.." or no..?

Was pleased to see this book, The killer mistake, embedded in the recent release by sufi pages on the Biography of Alahazrat by Shaykh Abdul Haadi.

Allah bless Shaykh abu Hasan. Even the khulafa of Mufti e Azam hind are appreciating his efforts.

May we take much benefit from the shaykh who has given us this beautiful platform to become better students of knowledge.
