Can a learned brother tell me if the following tarjuma in English is correct?

Specifically, for the Ayat e Karima, 81:24, the word "miserly" is used?

[Takweer 81:24] And this Prophet is not miserly upon the hidden. (Allah gave the knowledge of the hidden to the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.)

[Takweer 81:25] And the Qur’an is not the recitation of Satan the outcast.

[Takweer 81:26] So where are you going?

[Takweer 81:27] That is but an advice to the entire creation!

[Takweer 81:28] For the one among you who wishes to become upright.

[Takweer 81:29] And what will you wish, except if Allah wills – the Lord of the Creation.

Translation in Urdu by Ala Hazrat:-

اور یہ نبی غیب بتانے میں بخیل نہیں

Bakheel means "Miser"

I was speaking to a deobandi, he was saying that, the tarjuma of this word is not like normal andaz of your Imam, how to respond?
Because this word can mean conceal aswell.

it seems he is blinded by hatred and wants to find fault just out of spite for the Imam.

tell him it has the word "NOT" before it. it is similar to Allah absolving His noble Prophet from other accusations of the Kuffar. for example see verse 22 of Surah Takweer.

and since you have the chance, show him that this ayah is against his aqeedah as well, for it is one of the proofs of the Nabi being granted knowledge of the hidden.

He means, in normal conversations, we are telling them that they are not able even talk with the correct Adeb, and, in passing he asked me this.

He is also aware of the following:

  1. Did He not find you wandering and guide you? (An English Translation published in Beirut Lebanon by Dar-Al-Choura).
  2. And He found thee wondering, and He gave the guidance. (Abdullah Yousuf Ali).
  3. And found thee lost on the way and guided thee? (Mohammad Asad).
  4. And He found thee wandering in search for Him and guided thee unto Himself. (Maulvi Sher Ali Qadiani).
  5. And He found thee wandering, so He guided thee. (Abdul Majid Daryabadi).
  6. And found thee groping, so He showed the way. (Maulana Mohammad Ali Lahori Qadiani).
  7. And He found you uninformed of Islamic Laws so He told you the way of islamic laws. (Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi),
  8. Did He not find thee erring and guided thee? (Arberry).
  9. Did He not find thee wandering and direct thee? (Pickthal).
  10. And saw you unaware of the way so showed you straight way. (Maulana Fateh Mohammad Jallendhri).

(Aalahazrat Imam Ahmed Raza Khan).


The translators have translated the word "Dhal" in such a way that it affected directly the personality and prestige of the prophet whereas the consensus is that the prophet is sinless prior to the declaration of prophet hood and after the declaration. The words wandering groping, erring are not befitting to his dignity. The word "Dhal" has many meanings the most appropriate meaning has been adopted by Ala Hazrat Imam Ahmed Raza Khan.

Notwithstanding the Kufr of Devbandi elders, I find it grossly insulting to the honor of the Last Prophet to use translations of Qadianis as references. We must stop using / promoting them.

I suppose this is from professor Shah Fareed ul Haque Sahab's translation. (May Allah have mercy upon him)
 
i still don't understand what you/he are/is quibbling about. it says: "he is not miserly."

being miserly is bad.
"not being miserly" is good.

in this context "not being miserly" means, he has plenty of knowledge that he also tells you about, and is not niggardly in giving it to you. SallAllahu alayhi wa salam.

in this case, the words are used to describe an attribute and using such words is indeed disrespectful.

in the verse which you object, it is a negation.

saying: "the son of god" is blasphemy. it is insult to the Creator. and negating son/offspring is pure tawHid:

"lam yuulad"

as if the dayabina know what adab is. sham adab always outs in this type of quixotic umbrage at imagined slights.

tell him if he knew what adab is he would have left devbandism by now and since he hasn't, he needn't bother his poor little head about 'improprieties' in sunni scholars' works.

does anyone know where we can get Kanz ul Imaan - URDU VERSION - typed in ROMAN ENGLISH font?

for example: Allah ke naam se shuru, jo bahut meherbaan, rehmat wala
