Why Tor browser and these browser extensions cannot be projects of cia, fbi ect?

I know that tor browesers are infested with cia and fbi agents, especially with regards to "dark web" content and commerce.

plenty of info here. that's how they began. and it's not fool-proof.

But unless one is using tor to access sites which are otherwise outlawed in their country, it is better than normal browsers.

At the very least, it keeps unwanted targeted advertising at bay.

I would recommend it to all sunni ulema and students. There are lot of nasty javascripts embedded in a lot of webpages, at-least they would be blocked.

Ok - so in this very thread we have reached a sort of irony

This site
VPN is not safe either.
states that this site
Recommended this site for VPN recommendations (it also has Anti-Virus recommendations). And this site
Exposed: How Israeli Spies Control Your VPN

has revealed that the top VPNs and Anti-Viruses recommended by that site are owned and/or run by Israeli spies and former IDF personnel.
===

So EFF told KrebsOnSecurity to look for recommendation to a site which recommends Israeli spyware services?

The only explanation I can think of is that site was purchased and converted to a full-on ad machine after EFF recommended it - since at the time (2017) the site had a different and more nerdy sounding name - now its more bombastic - typical of ad sellers.

Excuse 2, EFF did not know of the spy-ring at the time.
