proposed ayodhya "mosque"

The so-called Sunni Central Waqf Board is a government body answerable to UP/Yogi. Zufar Farooqui's salary is paid by UP government. He had police cases withdrawn against him just before the Babri masjid verdict (a tried and tested tactics of goonda BJP to arm-twist anybody to fall in line). So what else can be expected?

Ideally, the waqf should have rejected the dog-meat of 5 acre land. Or even if it accepted the compensation land and decided to build a masjid, it should have been an exact replica of demolished Babri masjid (with a commemorative plaque saying this masjid was illegally demolished by swines). Or just a dug-out crater of land as a symbol/reminder to the martyred masjid. That would have been such an eye sore to hindus!

I was asking in regards to top scholars, peers, etc. Asjad Raza saab, muhaddithe kabeer, mufti nizamuddin, shuyukh of kichowcha, other big names in peerdom and scholarship.

The devs and shias are pretty much touching the feet of modi and co.

The wahabis seem to be somewhere in same position as us on managing some ghayrah. For all their faults I believe they are more ghayratmand than devbandis and shias.

Right now we need scholars and peers and khateebs to mobilize Muslims, if not physically, at least emotionally.

Politician's and Owaisi's patangbazi won't do it anymore, notwithstanding it being a big political question mark in itself.

I personally think scholars, peers etc. should stay from this issue. It's pure political issue; there is no religious significance to this sham masjid.

If anything, it will be (at best) a sullah kulli house or (at worst) a deen-i-illahi, multi-faith, progressive centre. They may as well play kirtans or bhajans, who cares!

Babri issue is dead, and so is any building to be built in a village (called Dhannipur). How many Muslims will ever attend a village "Ayodhya Mosque"?

Why should any of the ulema comment on this? This is best ignored, as if it doesn't exist.

let them build their temple. they have not even started the foundations and their "hindu rashtra" is crumbling, and the economy completely destroyed. and with little fires all over the country. and all this without muslims not having responded yet and being restrained.

if you look at it from one perspective, modi is a curse for indians and especially hindus. the farmers and the middle class that is whining today, 38% (at least of those who voted) overtly supported modi and his hate politics. the rest were tolerant. those hindus who openly reject hindutva politics and unequivocally condemn the vilification and subjugation of muslims are very very few. the 'centrists' (secret chaddis) make up the majority.

so modi is burning down their livelihoods. and then they will begin eating one another. in sha'Allah, in a few years they will not have any beef with us.

this i hope, wa billahi't tawfiq.

the truth of the matter is that hindutva is a glass house - one powerful stone will shatter it. they have nothing in common to unite them, except twitter, indian media and RSS. but how long can they sustain it in the absence of an ideology that everyone subscribes to?

regardless; the kuffar plot - but Allah ta'ala has His own plans.

this is not consent or being pleased or indifferent. this is a statement of derision and warning. like every muslim with self-respect, i was anguished when the masjid fell and we hope and pray that we will build a grand masjid on that spot some day.

miracles happen. wa lillahi'l hamd.

i'm not talking about this co-temple given in daan, per se (yet to be seen, if it will even go ahead and be built)

i'm talking about the overall hindutva project and Muslim ghayrah. Muslims need to be mobilized.

quite a good read in as much as it trashes modi, shah, and india, generously and rightly so!

If Modi asked his Brad Raffensperger to “find 11,780 votes,” he damn well would. In fact, Modi wouldn’t even have to ask. Shah would see to it that Raffensperger’s counterpart delivered. Besides, votes are nothing. Shah is a master at making opposition legislators switch sides through inducements and intimidation, and thereby flipping elected state governments. In several states once ruled by opposition parties, that’s how power has been transferred, without violence, or even elections. Indian commentators are right—there’s much to learn here.
