Sanyal's belong to those category of works which begin with an expressed aim of capturing the beauty of a seaside sunset in a sky freckled with technicolor cirrus clouds, shot through with golden rays, creating an indescribably beautiful facade, but end up depicting a lurid red giant star as seen from the shores of a grisly body of liquid of unknown chemical composition, surrounded by a dystopian landscape of a shriveled planet in the final throes of annihilation.
The intentions may have been benign, ambitious even, but the final product fails to justify its own preface.
