Ibn ʿĀbidīn is, of course, well known — Muḥammad Amīn Ibn ʿĀbidīn, the author of the Ḥāshiyah.

It remains the relied-upon reference of the madhhab up to this day, despite some Dīobandīs criticizing it.

But all the Hanafī scholars on earth believe that the Ḥāshiyah of Ibn ʿĀbidīn is the relied-upon source of the Hanafī madhhab — this is what I learned from my shaykh since 25 years ago."
