Wanted! Wazaif for seeing the Prophet in dreams

:s1:

insha Allah as many as possible methods/ways possible please from the hadith, sayings of the salaf, the awliya, the sufis and your own tried and tested methods!

jazak Allahu khayran!

Oh brother!! Tis a wish of us all!!

Here is a dua which is beneficial and a start to prepare ourselves to see such an auspicious sight. Whether it helps us feeble, miserly, disgusting and pathetic people to even contemplate such a vision is alone known by Allah SWT. Could our filthy eyes withstand such beauty even in a dream?? Are we worthy of such a splendid vision??? Alas......

Ya Allah......Nigahe karam!! Ya RabulAalameen, karam!

A Du’a to Gain Noor and Part of the Holy Prophet's (salallahu alaihi wasallam) Practice:
Oh Allah make my heart full of noor
and make my grave full of noor
and make noor in front of me
and make noor behind me
and make noor on my right
and make noor on my left
and make noor above me
and make noor underneath me
and make my hearing full of noor
and make my sight full of noor
and make my hair full of noor
and make my body and skin full of noor
and make my flesh full of noor
and make my blood full of noor
and make my bones full of noor
Oh Allah enlarge and enhance the noor for me
and bestow your noor upon me
and make myself full of noor.

Taken from Al Fuyudha’at-ul-Muhammadiyyah – Nisbathe Thahrath - p. 97

Ulama and awlia have mentioned many wazaif to see RasūlAllāh şallAllāhu álayhi wa sallam in dream, however they do mention that one should do these wazaif only with the intention to send salaat o salaam upon the beloved RasūlAllāh şallAllāhu álayhi wa sallam, and believe that he/she may be granted to see RasūlAllāh şallAllāhu álayhi wa sallam in his/her dream when RasūlAllāh şallAllāhu álayhi wa sallam would wish. Some ulama say it took years for them.

I have seen two versions of al-wazifatul karimah and found 5th line of the wazifah as mentioned in the above post, is it a printing mistkae? should it not

Allahummah Salli 'Ala jasadi sayyidina Mu'hammdin fil ajsaad

i know of a very simple wazifah - recite the durud sharif a thousand times.
only that and nothing more.

but...

there are a few conditions and this is the difficult part:
1. fulfill all the farD, wajib and sunan without fail

2. expiation [qaDa] of any farD or wajib worships that you have missed,

3. abstain from all Harams and repent from Harams committed.

4. strive hard to abstain from even those acts labeled makruhs

5. one's income should be from halal sources and be as scruplous as possible in ensuring it to be halal

6. and strive hard to eat only from halal sources and halal food

7. hurt not your neighbor or your family or friends; be kind and merciful to others; forgive others and bear not hate even for the heretics: 'hate the sin, not the sinner.'

8. be pleased with what Allah ta'ala has ordained [riDa bi'l qaDa] without questioning, without being sad. be thankful for His bounties [shukr] and be patient in affliction [Sabr]

9. and strive hard to adopt the sunnah in every word and deed of yours.

10. love everything that the Prophet sallallahu `alayhi wa sallam was fond of; and dislike that which he disliked. loving his progeny is also included in it.
and then, hope from Allah ta'ala that you will be blessed with the vision:
'this is a favor from your Lord Almighty; He Gives it to whom He Will.'

---
and to fulfil a few conditions above, it is necessary to learn about his life, his sunnah, his morals by reading proper books of biography and taSawwuf like:
* ghawth al-a'azam's: al-fat'H ar-rabbani
* al-ghazali's kimya e sa'adat, minhaj al-`abidin, arbayin;
* al-qazwini's abridged 77 branches of faith. [shu'ab al-iman]
* al-tirmidhi's shamayil
* al-dihlawi's madariju'n nubuwwah
* qaDi `iyaD's kitab ash-shifa
* an-nab'hani's hayat ar-rasul
* imam bukhari's adab al-mufrad
may Allah ta'ala grant us his vision here and in the hereafter.

I totally agree with the above post by AH.

I have also read that recitation of the Darud e Akbar is recommended. Also, reciting the Asma-e-Nabi Kareem, by reading Sayyadina before each Noble name and finish with Sallallahu alaihi wasallam. When read with profound contemplation and sincerity, one MAY be blessed with the Vision of Ya Rasulallah sallallahu alaihi wassalam in ones dreams, insha'allah.

And Allah SWT Knows best and is the All-Hearing, Most Merciful.

I have tried and tested the above.......but wait like many others for Allah's SWT Mercy to descend. However, the recitation has a profoundly soothing effect on the body and mind!

I know someone very close to me who read durood e Taj 50 plus times everyday and he was blessed to see our prophet Muhammad (sallallahu alaihiwassalam) in his dream.

Masha'allah!!

Can u tell us a little about their experience??? Did they say much....were they speechless......must be so intense!

Sorry i cannot mention anything more than this. I myself was told with the condition that i cant tell anyone what happened.

Respect brother.......................that was just my emotions getting carried away. I didn't want to know about the dream, just how the person felt. What an immense feeling it must have been.

Regards

I read on another forum that Shaykh Yaqoubi said to read Dalail ul Kharat and you will see the messenger of Allah (sallallu alaihi wassalam) in your dream inshaAllah. I think theres also a talk of his which we can buy were he mentions some of the ways our prophet Muhammad (sallallu alaihi wassalam) will appear to us in our dream and the purpose behind it. For example if our prophet Muhammad (sallallu alaihi wassalam) gives us honey we will become a hafiz of Quran. If he (sallallu alaihi wassalam) gives us a book we will be an alim.

Heres the talk,

http://knowledgeandwisdom.biz/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=838

In this fascinating talk, after some introductory comments about the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and who he was, Shaykh Muhammad al-Yaqoubi describes over ninety ways the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) appears in people’s dreams, giving the interpretation of each dream: If you see the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) with his hands open, you will perform Hajj. If you see him leaning, your worries and difficulties will be removed. If he hands you a book, you will become a teacher. If he gives you bread, you will attain wealth. If he offers you honey, you will memorize the Qur’an. If he appears beardless or having a short beard, it means you lack righteousness and should strive to improve. If you see him while you are pregnant, you will have a boy and thus should name him Muhammad. If you see him in the middle of the night, you will be a wali of Allah (friend of God) in your forties. These are just a few examples of the many dreams of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) Shaykh Muhammad interprets during this amazing talk. In addition, he explains how anyone who tries to add to the praises of the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) is attempting the impossible, because there are no praises beyond the praises of Allah.

Is it possible to dream of Ya Rasulallah Salallahu alaihi wasallam, if you do not meet all the criteria mentioned in bro AH's post? I mean, is it possible that you could be blessed if you are sinner, do not perform regular prayers, are perhaps not even in a state of purity, BUT have immense yearning and love and recite Darud abundantly? I know it's contradictory, but just curious.........

Is it possible.......?

Aaaye haaye! SA01 what a heart ripping post!
Ibelieve that tho in general terms sidi ah is totally correct the mercy and grace of our Master is so infinite that He can bless any one he wishes with this most noble of blessings which is His vision. Someone I know who was blessed with this told me that after the first time our Master showed themselves to him the beauty was so much that he actually got scared and was afraid for weeks afterwards to go to sleep though he longed for it! Gradually as Sarkar showed themselves again and again to him he was able to bear the beauty until he was so blessed to see huzoor paak whilst awake! those are high ranks. A worthless dog like myself would be ecstatic just for a single glimpse. Not that I have any good deeds but if I was a lifelong worshipped I'd give all my actions for just one deedaar of the Beloved صلى الله عليه وسلم

yes, it is possible, even if you dont recite Durood abundantly

Bismillah...

A Fa'idah from al-Habib Ahmed Mash-hur al-Haddad is that if one recites the Bayt from the Burdah:

نعم سرى طيف من أهوى فأرقني والحب يعترض اللذات بالألمِ

...one will see Sayyidina Muhammad Rasulullah Salawat Allah wa Salamuh `Alayh in ones dream. (Providing one fulfills the conditions, I believe, as Sidi Abu Hasan made clear)

Was-Salam

Aaye Haaye indeed bro NJ... ;(. Tis the yearning of this pathetic little soul that pines for the cool breeze of Madinah Paak even!

I have heard that some people dream of Ya Rasulallah Salallahu Alaihi wasallam....but whilst they see the bodily shape, the noor, the environment and everything else, the physical features are not seen by them. Does this also constitute as a vision of Nabi Paak salallahu alaihi wasallam? I know someone who has and they were so scared they could hardly retell what happened. They said when they awoke, they felt as if their heart was going to explode.....they were reciting Darud Shareef as they awoke! Subhanallah!

What an experience that must have been.....
