praying in front of the blessed rawdah

i believe people pray right in front of the rawdah. the qibla is in the opposite direction; so when offering salah, one will have their back towards the rawdah.

not a question of permissibility but of adab - would it be better to pray elsewhere, i.e. not right in front of the blessed rawdah?

i think its a matter of how you look at it.

i know of people who specifically look to pray standing close to the blessed feet of rasul allah sallalahu alaihi wa sallam, and if I am not wrong this would be one such place.

If we stand in front, would we be turning our backs to HabeebAllah salAllaho 'alayhi wa alihi wa salam, and our Masters Sayyiduna Abu Bakr al-Siddiq radyAllahu 'anhu and Sayyiduna 'Umar al-Farooq radyAllahu 'anhu?

I read somewhere that if you pray in front of the rawdah Shareef it is a sign of a hypocrite, for the same reason as brother Wadood pointed out.

As-salamu 'alaykum

I once heard from my imam, that in the beginning when sahaba or tabi'in extended the praying area they did not include this part. First later on it was added to the prayer place. If this is correct, it shows that the 'aqida of sahaba and tabi'in was that back should not be made towards the blessed Rawda of the Imam of Anbiya and his blessed companions.
