They also make the following argument:

How can non-Muslims go to hell when there are so many Buddhists who are living happily?

Sidi Maraqi, since Sidi Suleiman has done such a sterling job, I no longer need to reply! I would just recommend a couple of books which might help you

By the way, note that I am Abu Abbas al-Ridawi

I sent all these modernist accusations to Sidi Abu Adam al-Narurji who gave me the following response:

Start by reading http://sunnianswers.wordpress.com/2008/05/19/the-foundations-of-the-religion/ including the comments. You can also read this:

Answer to Atheists
Sunnis believe that two completely opposite ideas cannot both be true, and use this idea to show the truth of their beliefs. The Wahabis beg to differ and attack the use of the mind:
Agnostic Contentions: Randomness and Infinity
Q & A: Someone asked, “Is Islam Falsifiable?”
Q & A: Someone asked “How do random things relate to the existence of God?”
Q & A: Someone asked, “If God is perfect, then why are certain things, for example the eye, imperfect?”
Responding to Atheists – A Collection of Posts & Comments
Deviant attempts to use theories of physics against the proofs of the belief of Islam
Darwinism in the eye of the mind

That being said, there is not much point in talking to people who have no interest other than mocking.

Bismillah...

As-Salamu `Alaykum wa Rahmatullah Ya Aba `Abbas!

There questions are symptoms of ignorance. If you check my last post, you will realize what I mean.

If all intoxicants are haram then why isn't benadryl or any other medications haram?

In the Hanafi Madh-hab, Khamr has a specific defintion. In addition to that, whatever amounts of other things which intoxicate you are Haram in that amount. Sidi Abu Hasan can comment, Insha Allah.

Note: The above was a Fiqh question. Some rulings are Ghayr - Ma`qul, we submit to the rulings of Allah once we know with certainty that they are indeed from Allah. We know this since what Rasulullah Salwat Allah wa Salamuh `Alayh brought is the truth, as explained in Sh Abu Adam's "Foundations of the Religion". This should be our attitude. Our goal is to save ourselelves in the Akhirah by attaining Allah's pleasure. Thinking and devising your own rulings using often temporary convictions, will not help one achieve this!

How can non-Muslims go to hell when there are so many Buddhists who are living happily?

Wait a minute! Who said the claim of "happiness" would save you. Allah does not have to do anything, otherwise he would not be Allah! Allah has decreed what will save you in the Akhirah, made it clear through the messengers (the last being Sayyiduna Muhammad, Sallallah `Alayh wa Sallam), and has forgiven those who have been sent a messenger.

Seeing as how arrogant they are, implying that Allah has to save someone who claims to be "happy", they will probably ignore the above. If this is the case, ask them what is the case with someone who rapes people claiming to be "happy". Is that individual saved?

Was-Salam

Sorry, this part is wrong "and has forgiven those who have been sent a messenger. " It is supposed to be "And has forgiven those who have NOT been sent a messenger" i.e. Wa Ma Kunna Mu`ddhibina Hatta Nab`atha Rasula"

We must focus on refuting the modernists as they are a very large threat to Ahl`e Sunnat wal Jama`at

As interesting as this thread this is, I would ask that it be deleted by the mods/admin.
